take a look at the cars for sale and parts for sale forums....an abundance of ads wanting to buy & selling cars and parts and no way to contact the threads author...

mostly new guys and/or gals, you never know which but it's very frustrating for anyone wanting to buy or sell because there is absolutely no contact info provided....also, no pictures, no prices

buyers and seller....all that post in the classified forums, have a little respect, tell us where you are, post lots of pics of your cars and parts and finally tell us the asking price

we aren't mind readers...

a few examples...at the time of this thread none had any contact info listed

I've noticed a bunch of these:

looking for item "X123" in "wanted"

selling "X123" in "for sale"

Yet it seems the buyers/sellers aren't connecting.

Maybe they're just connecting off the board...but this phenomenon is becoming more frequent it seems.

LOL!

I noticed that. For me, no pictures no interest.

Yeah, these cats seem to think we live in the world of paper classifieds. They need to stop being lazy and learn how to properly market their product on the internets.

This is digital land. Embrace it.

The most annoying for me is the lack of stating your location if you're buying or selling something as big as a car, engine, transmission, head, diff, etc...

It should be right next to your username, even...

Not everybody lives in the SF bay area or SoCal. Location can easily be a $1000 difference, and a whole lot of hassle and risk.

Also sick of reading the SOB stories about how they have to sell in the middle of doing some modification and all of sudden work came up to their home or their moving. What are we stupid? No, they got frustrated and F'd it all up and want to pass it on to someone else. Then no contact info or pics. Then the descriptions of how great the car is and compared to others that none of us can see. Insulting.

Wait,

Some of you are married and you don't get it?

"Gee honey, I tried to sell that stuff (that car) like you asked me to, but I guess nobody's buying now. We'll just hold on to it for a while longer."

My wife has not even asked me to sell my car. Still no interest. Nobody is buying right now for sure.

See you in the Bay Area since that is of course where we all live.

But what do I know
