If youre talking about modern BMW's yes. The VIN helps in that case but not so much for vintage stuff. While I prefer to work with part numbers to limit mistakes Im glad to help you get what you need. Send us an email and we will get it done

www.realoem.com is your friend. put your vin in and start finding part numbers.

I think you could do a fine cut on those and theyd be ok. Install them and drive to Vintage
