I checked Shows Events and Weekend Drives

but some weeks it is my daily driver but not my only vehicle. I probably get a month of daily driver a year in.

Shows, weekend drives, the grocery store, to pick up the kids from the pool, to drive to work... It's somewhat sporadic, though. I am enamored with my new-to-me E30, so I am not driving the '02 as much as I'd planned. Which car to take? the BMW or the BMW? (That's how I like it.) I forgot --- I take the '02 for date nights with the Mrs. She's grown fond of the 2002.

The poll won't let me select multiple uses.

Daily driver, some weekend drives, some car shows, all vintage rallies, hauling for Lowes/Home Depot runs, etc...

DD !!!!

i am just back from vacation, i did try to use the Automatic 02 as much as i can, altough the wife didnt appreciated the absence of AC, but at the end she appreciated all the thumbs up and other nice comments all along our long trip across the Quebec. We made at least 2000km and the car ran flawlessly. Trunk was permanently filled with:

1 large tent 9x11

3 inflatable matress

3 sleeping bags

1 cooler

3 foldable chairs

3 pillows

2 large bags for our personnal stufs (clothes,...)

1 bag full of kid toys

car made avg 25mpg at 80-90kph.

i also do some car shows when it is possible at all.

My '73 is a daily driver and still my only (insured and running) car but since I "restored" it a couple years ago I won't park it in crappy parts of town and am very nervous about leaving it parallel-parked on the street. So, it is actually less useful than it used to be when I didn't worry much about another ding or scratch. Also, "daily" is more like only a couple days a week since I usually carpool to work. And absolutely no snow days any more, unless there's a dire need.

Well, maybe it has become an underground-parking princess...

How about what I don't do....

I will not drive anywhere near the local high school on school days around 2:30 pm...or for the first three weeks of a new school year...too many hormones running amuck....try not to in any vehicle...

I try not to do much driving around dusk, as even with third lights, etc, our little cars are...little, and over-looked.

I don't drive it if its above 95 degrees...

I don't drive it if they have salted the roads until lotsa rain washes them clean... however long that takes...

Otherwise, when ever I can. It makes me happy like few things do.
