A thought occurred to me last night, as I surfed around in what guitar players call, "Pedal Porn" (all those YouTube and other soundbite clips featuring electric guitar stomp boxes).

One of the premier boutique stomp-box makers is RedWitch. It's a single guy out of New Zealand, and he produces some really cool guitar effects in stomp-box form. He has a blog where you can discuss and post up comments and suggestions about his products. But to join, you have to agree to the terms and conditions. Check this out:

And so the thought occurred - in order to discuss a friggin' stomp box, I have to sign multiple pages of legalese, where not only can he ban me, he can sue me! Yet here, Steve and Company have made it relatively easy to join up and discuss our cars, freely. All we really have to do is self-police ourselves and show some general civility - save for the occasional flame war.

Makes you think - got it pretty good here, don't we?
