    Mercedes chrome trim rings. Please ignore the moulding. It's just taped in place 'cause Blunt asked what it would look like to combine short chrome bumper with '74-'76 lower side moulding. Some have invested more in wheels and tires than I have in the whole car.

    Pete, Shift selector is easy. See pics. You're lucky to be working with mechanical clutch. Those with slave cylinders can easily get the flywheel/pressure plate combination wrong and find that the pedal goes only half way to floor. Your mechanical clutch adjusts to all possible combinations. Mitch

    I'll offer the best to the first. If she takes it, offer second best to second email, if they're to rough for her, offer best to second email. It will take time to get to the fifth, but each is offered the best available. It's a plan that will work well now that I've replied to all the emails that I'm not selling at this time, but the plan would have been hard to explain to all on the first day. I'll email detail pics of the best to Esty now, then Marty after her reply, then TJ, etc. Thanks to Jerry for his input. Pic attached here are of the worst of the five.

    These lamps are VERY rough. I received eight emails, two wanted two sets. Don't know how to deal with so many requests except to withdraw the offer and sell to no one. Don't know the correct etiquette here. They're good for only the most beat daily driver. Click the image for more clarity.

    The moulding fasteners with studs and nuts are called bolts. The moulding fasteners without nuts are called clips. They are plastic and H shaped. The doors use bolts only in the rear holes. I tried to find you part numbers in a very old, hard to read parts book, so they may not be correct and up to date; lower clip; 51 13 1 816 019 lower bolt; 51 13 5 680 107 upper clip; 51 13 1 804 205 upper bolt; 51 13 5 480 116 Our friend Blunt will have the correct numbers and is the best source. Buy from Blunt.

    Wiper speed switch is two postion and accepts knobs without script. Headlight switch has lots of connectors, may take a little longer to figure out which ones to use, and it needs smaller than standard spade connectors. Most of those on my truck are one position rear defog switches, but I did use a headlight switch. It took some time to get it wired correctly.

    Perhaps not what you're thinking of, but door skin sound absorbers are very satisfying. Good bang for buck.

    The factory had a tool that flared the bottom of the pin equally. To remove the pin you need to grind off the entire bottom. All you really need is enough flare to keep it from coming up through the bracket hole. My technique is to clamp the pin top and bottom with large vice grip and lift up on the handle of tool until it slips off the bottom. This will flare a small area of the pin bottom.This technique is quick and will leave you with a reuseable pin.

    Where's this from? '67 six volt? Dealer installed option? When installed it looks like other early switches, but not enough wires.

    Paint the old lock strip? Change glass and seal too? Good luck with what ever you choose.

    Haven't run one, but do own one. Please share your experience with it. Perhaps I should find an air cleaner and use mine.
