  1. Try tie down straps next time. No bounce, easy fine adjustment. Rimmer lives in back woods, no freinds.
  2. They don't appeal to everyone's taste but I like the visors used with e3 mirror, 1/4 glass latch, and ebrake.
  3. I have to have a nice freeway cruiser (wife's Benz). Large truck (GMC). Small truck (Tundra). Roadster (Sprite). Daily driver ('74 02). And two projects ('73 02 and '59 Sprite). Plus '57 Ford 841 tractor. One car? Unbelievable.
  4. Off topic, but once you've used nail guns your framing and finish hammers will grow very dusty.
  5. Including axles. Please post if you find clips that will work on the upper side mouldings. Jose' and I need to know.
  6. I'm less patient. My 9" grinder uses 16/24 grit.
  7. Best way to install bumper impact strips. Use socket or other spacer under corner of tool for '74-'76 clips.
  8. It is traditional to keep the valve parts separate and in order using a plank with eight holes drilled and numbered. Rocker shafts have always pressed out easily for me (must be good karma?). My cam removal spring press is home made but it works. Have fun with it and let me know if you need any small parts to complete the project. I've disaassembled many, and assembled few.
  9. Do not drill rivits. Remove glass, push down on frame to disengage upper hinge, lift frame out in slightly open position.
  10. Anyone want a house in santa cruz. I'm moving to Arkansas.
  11. Here's most of a fridgking system.
  12. Here in Santa Cruz you need an environmental impact report to dig a post hole, and a permit to set the post (No joke. I heard it from a county planner.) Changing our roof shingles, toilet, or circuit breaker are all outlaw behaviors. My neighbor was busted for "outdoor storage of personal property". Sorry for the off topic, but it makes my blood boil to live in a place where it is impossible to get through the day without breaking some law. New this year dogs can not be left alone in the car. I hate the nannys, now my dogs do too.
  13. The jack points are there to support the weight of the car. The frame rail where the subframe is attached is very strong but you can not put the stands there until the subframe is removed. The frame rails under the floor will collapse unless the weight is distributed by use of planks which introduces a safety problem. The need to avoid supporting all that weight on rotten areas is just too obvious to mention.
  14. Frame rails will collapse. Use the jack points.
  15. Yes, I'll swap a two peice top half for a one peice. Can't help you with the bottom, but I still have the column pads we spoke of last year.
  16. I have an email button next to my name on all my posts. Sorry, I don't have the bottom half of the dash you are searching for.
  17. Dist. replacement was the best improvment made on my '74. Do it, you'll be glad you did.
  18. Hope you didn't pay someone who says he can remove old sealant with glass and seal installed. Climb under dash with good light source and have assistant spray windshield, heater area, and firewall with garden hose.
  19. I hope Jerry and dubois are correct, but I'd say the decision should be based on the points where the front panel is welded to the frame rails. Not visible in your pics. Frame rail to front panel is structural and hard to repair. Pic shows need for cosmetic valence repair.
