  1. 2002s break all the time too. People buy cars like these because they love them, not because they are reasonable. 8s might cost more to get going again, but come on, the 8 series is so incredibly awesome looking. Your sex life will double if you own that car. It's also up there with the Porsche 928 as one of the greatest GT cars of all time.
  2. Does anyone know the lbs rating on H&R sports?
  3. I don't remember reading anything about it before, but I have these spacers that I'm putting between my half shafts (with 320i CV boots installed) and the 320i LSD. Thing is, there is only a tiny fraction of thread left on the bolts once they get through the spacer. So I need new ones right? Any purchasing advice on this? Thanks! Sean
  4. A few years ago there was a great place down by Boeing that has since left us. I'm just wondering where people go now. Thanks!
  5. Hey there, When installing my steel brake lines on the rear hard lines in 76 I noticed the threads on the brake line were not long enough to fit over the nozzle on the hard line? Did I get the wrong part or am I making another bone head mistake? The latter I assume. Thanks in advance!
  6. So I get the new diff (ebay purchase) all shined up. Put on the cover from the old diff, installed the Ireland bushings and went to put it in the car and found that things are not lining up easily. Namely, when I have the bushings bolted to the body, the bolts don't line up with the subframe and vica versa. It's about a quarter inch off. I know the subframe moves a bit, maybe that's my problem. Any advice on this? Do I just need to use a big screwdriver and make it work? Thanks!
  7. That's a really different look. I like it! Good for you, mate. What's she like under the hood? Is the scoop functional?
  8. I got one from Blunt for my DCOE sidedrafts. Really nice part, came right away. Blunt's a good guy to work with
  9. I owned a 1990 Corrado and the owners manual actually wasn't that much better.
  10. I work on the same schedule! As a result, I haven't driven my car in 7 years :-) That's a holly shit amount of rubber your putting on the ground. What are your engine plans?
  11. Hey guys, I was reading the PDF at the link below, and it says at you can use POR 15 over paint, but the wording makes it sounds like that basically renders the POR15 innefective as it only functions when in contact with metal. "CAN I APPLY POR-15 OVER OTHER PAINTS? Yes, but you will lose the important benefits of POR-15. You must remember that ordinary paints are weakened by exposure to moisture. POR-15 can't stop rust if it isn't in direct contact with the base metal." I'm not painting at this stage of the rebuild, but would still like to get some extra rust protection in the wheel wells. I was planning to POR 'em, but am now wondering if this isn't really worth it. Your thoughts? http://www.por15.com/Data%20Sheets/POR15ApplicationInfo.pdf
  12. I'm looking at this fuel pump mostly based off of what I've heard from people before. Opinion seems to be that the Bavaria fuel pump works well for set ups like mine because its a bit stronger. The ti pump was my first idea too. I never actually thought to ask why the Bavaria pump is considered better.
  13. http://bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=4532&mospid=47247&btnr=13_0767&hg=13&fg=10 If I'm going the mechanical fuel pump route for my DCOE Weber 45s, is this a good one to get? 200 bones is kinda steep - almost twice that of an electric pump, right? Are there better deals on a reliable mechanical out there? Thanks! Sean
  14. interesting. I'll definitely have more questions about this when I get to this stage of my project. Thanks!
  15. He was featured quickly on last Monday's Top Gear too. As he was walking through his garage you could see a white roundie O2 in the corner. It was brief but it was there. Leno is actually one of my favorite car guys out there.
  16. Some kinda chrome paint. I wonder if he actually had the car redone in chrome. Could that even be possible?
  17. Thought you guys might enjoy this. Not enough car sounds, too many crashes, but still got a few chills just watching it. And at least the song selection is better than most racing montages on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUAE-819OG4 I thnk this was one of the truly great era's of racing along with the Group B rally, 1990's BTCC, Trans Am and everything pre WWI, in my opinion. :-) What series' did the 2002 race in? Enjoy
  18. Excellent! Thanks for the info, link and sound effects (yup, I got you entirely on that one). I'll give the burn it and bash it method another try, but this time I'll add hack it to the list as well. Cheers, mates! Transform, and roll out!
  19. So I've got the diff off and am getting ready to put in the 320i LSD. But the bracket that holds the diff to the back of the car has those bushings in it. I have new ones from Ireland, but how do I get the old ones out? Unlike the other bushings, these seem to have a metal ring around them that makes them damn near impossible to remove. What's the trick here? My trusty old method of burning them to a crisp doesn't seem like it will work here. Side question: Now that I have the old cover on my new diff, do I still fill it with oil up to the fill point? Anyone know how much that is in quarts? Sorry to bombard with questions. Thanks in advance! SeanH
  20. Hey guys, I'm joining the Alfa club in my MazdaSpeed3 at Bremerton Motorsports for their high performance driving school on the 29th. I'm sure most of you have already done this, but I'm just wondering if anyone from this board is going too. GWB? I saw someone on the registration board from Fox Island Hope to see you there!
  21. I love that race! I'm glad SPEED hasn't dropped the ball enough yet to not cover it. I figured they would cut it out to show more dirt track 'stock car' racing somewhere in AL. Doing the Targa is definitely part of my 5 year plan. Thanks for the head's up
