  1. Thanks, I was hoping I could find the rubber one somewhere but it doesn't look good. The poly version may end up being my only option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Does anyone know where I can get this early style motor mount in rubber. http://www.bmw-oldtimerteile.de/images/stories/virtuemart/product/foto.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Cool. Looks like it works well for stacking plywood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I have been trying this method minus the wire and not having much luck. I think the wire is necessary in order for this to work otherwise the bushing just keeps expanding instead of going into the hole where it belongs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I tried to make a device that would push the bushings through but it didn't work and I don't want to wreck the bushings. I stepped away from the bushings job and decided to complete some other work instead. Ended up stacking a .3 and a .1 shim on the oil pump then got the head on ect.. I think I'll repaint the pulleys black. Not diggin' the grey. Oil pan is going to get repainted black as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. That's off the 2000ti. Is this what your talking about? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Sorry wrong place. High jacking the thread. Trying to sell some strut mounts here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Haha. That wasn't a complete sentence. Drinking and thinking. Off to Re-shim my oil pump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. How significant the difference going to make. If any. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The right one is the original that i pulled off the 67 2000tilux. The left is the new unit that I ordered. Interesting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. To clarify, the ones I purchased are actually for another model BMW. What separates your oem part with mine is the length of the 3 bolts. Having said that, your offer is a good value in comparison to what others are asking for oem online. Had I not figured out a solution months back I would be all over your parts.....that didn't come out right.. Those are some expensive bolts on the oem part. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I guess I was lucky in finding a set. I started a thread about this a while back and managed to find a set for $175 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Is that a typo? $200 for the set you mean. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Original BMW rear shock vs. Bilstein. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Snorkel cleaned up. I'm may hit it with some paint and try and push the little dent out of it. I shimmed the oil pump with a two .003 shims and now that I have it all together I'm second guessing my decision. The chain has little to no play so I think I'll drop it to 1 - .001 shim on the pump side and a .003 shim on the block side to give it more slack. First I'll double check my torque. 16. Sorry I meant olive oil as a lubricant Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Well I finished the blasting and the painting of the front subframe last night. Here is a picture of the nice clean parts before I put it all back together. Heading to Blaine to go get my bushings and oversized head gasket. Should be interesting trying to get these bushings in. I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of cussing. My uncle recommended using oils oil to lubricate the bushings after I warm them up in hot water. I'm going to give it a shot. I mean why not...last night I removed the pilot bearing by stuffing a peanut butter sandwich into the hole and pounding it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. It's 207 as well. Hmmm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Is there a different between the red repair book and the grey repair book? I ordered the red one and received the grey cover version. I had the red cover one many years ago and I feel like it was more informative and the illustrations were better. p Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. It looks like a classroom school project is up for grabs here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I will send you a picture and the specs when I get home Tuesday. They were meant to go with my 89.97 pistons you see in the picture I posted of the engine. I ended up using the ones that came with the mahle pistons instead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I personally wouldn't worry too much about the future. It's the last of pistons this car will see in my lifetime. Last flywheel ect. Just build it in the fashion you wish to enjoy it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. If you need a set of rings i have an extra set for 89.97 pistons that I don't need. Although, you should get the rings with the pistons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I'm glad I got the bilstein shocks. It's just funny how the PO had the car parked for 20 years because he couldn't find shocks for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
