  2. That flywheel looks like it was pulled out of a camp fire. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. That's impressive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. That's a great picture! Love it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks again for the contact. Someone is coming to the house Tuesday to look at it and go over the scope of work. I'll keep you posted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Check it out. Looks like a good buy at that price. https://www.ebay.de/itm/132223760543 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. You could go hunting with this config. Maybe even help a few planes land in bad weather. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Sure, if you remember 3 weeks from now to take a pic I'd love to see it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I would have to say yes to that but no where nearly as fun! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I understand what your saying re: old rubber degrading over time. If it fails I can always go the poly way. I'm trying to stay away from all the poly stuff unless I'm left with no other choice. I'm looking for the least amount of vibration out of this thing. Vibration always makes me feel like something's wrong with the car and then I'll be chasing the cause and driving myself crazy. Did you reinforce the metal with another piece of steel where the mount is connected? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks, I'll look them up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I suspect I'll find more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I'm trying to find a shop here in vancouver that can / willing to do the body work and paint on the car now. It's the last thing to do before I put it all back together. I've been trying to find some decent fenders for it but not entirely convinced it's a must have provided I can find the right body person. Attached are images of the most problematic areas. Front fenders! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I used methyl ethyl ketone and some steel wool to ultimately get it off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yeah that's what I figured. I masked it off in the wrong spot. Thanks for confirming what I suspected. I'll look into the solvent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. A while back I used por15 on the struts. I think I painted a section I shouldn't of. Can anyone confirm by the photo? If so, how do I go about removing it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. And just yesterday I ordered that same one from IE in rubber. I almost pulled the trigger on the poly one for the driver side. Glad I got it in rubber instead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. If anyone is interested I found the early style motor mount on eBay. If you think it's expensive, imagine how I felt when I converted it to cdn dollars. http://m.ebay.de/itm/BMW-Neue-Klasse-1500-1600-2000-ti-tilux-C-CA-Motorlager-li-orig-BMW-NEU-/152577987091?hash=item23865b5213%3Ag%3A07wAAOSwvflZOTzr&_trkparms=pageci%253A95039c1e-4e63-11e7-80d1-74dbd1807fa2%257Cparentrq%253A958ae47615c0a7e1127decc8fff63b9a%257Ciid%253A2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I was actually wondering about that as well. I believe I've heard of people shortening the tube spacers. It rings a bell. I did trim each bushing down as well btw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Here is the finished product folks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I can trim each one to make it work that's not a problem. These bushings are after market but still available through BMW. I wonder if the ones from BMW would be correct for the car without modification. +1 on putting the threaded end of the bolt up to avoid damage to threads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. 2002 spring do not fit. Way to small. Bilstein makes HD shocks for the NK Springs are available through BMW just go to realoem.com to find the part number Having said that, are you sure you need new springs? It's rare that these ever need to be replaced unless it's broken. If you change the shocks to bilstiens your probably good to go. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=3316-EUR-02-1967-NK-BMW-2000tilux&diagId=31_0444 Rear springs http://m.ebay.pl/itm/KILEN-51200-FOR-BMW-1500-2000-Sal-RWD-Rear-Coil-Spring-/391234067673?hash=item5b175e1cd9%3Ag%3AymAAAOSwd0BV2XrV&_trkparms=pageci%253Ab2d3d607-516a-11e7-bbda-74dbd180c7a8%257Cparentrq%253Aa962b20415c0a991f2e5e3b4ffff6dce%257Ciid%253A16 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah I'd like to start smiling. It will come. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Well folks as usual nothing is as it seems with the old NK. All things simply turn into obstacles. I ordered all new bushings for the front subframe some time ago. I went to check the assembly on these particular ones and it became obvious very quickly that they are much taller in height and will not work. Has anyone ever seen this? I'm having the same issue with one side of the wishbone bushings (actually my buddy Rick is) being far to large in diameter. No way they would ever fit. I have heard of this problem on the forum a couple times. Images show the original and the new. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Thanks for all the input folks. I appreciate everyone taking the time to share their experiences and knowledge. I'm not 100% sold on the idea a 5 speed. I think ill drive with the 4 for a bit and see how I feel down then road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
