  1. Diff is all done. There is nothing wrong with the hanger and the the bushings are fine. I'm putting this back together so I can drive it. I've already gone above and beyond what the cAr needs. I can always work on this car in the winter months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Very interesting... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Beautiful interior. How does one put a value on these gems? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Putting the diff back together. Picked up all the replacement seals. Gasket on the top is NLA so I'm using black permatex to make a gasket. Waiting for the permatex to cure before I perform the finishing move. Btw...I purchased 5 seals for less than the price of one from BMW. Rookie move ordering seals from BMW the first time. 5. Yes, they ran before I took it all apart. They were leaking fuel like mad when I removed them. I'm taking my time with these to make sure every screw is turned to the "correct" starting position. Whatever the f that is. I'm ready to tangle with the float level. Insulators are a different color on each side....let it go...just let it go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Too funny Hal! Can't remember the exact location of this tag that was on the carbs. There is one for each. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. I'm trying to figure out if this is a 245. It supposedly came out of an 82 320is Numbers on the back read as follows In picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Rick, I got it out. Just needed a little bang!bang! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Is there a reason why I was able to remove one side easily and not the other. Not sure what you call this. Drive flange? Anyway I can't seem to get the other drive flange off the diff and I want to change the seal. it seems locked in there. It would seem that I need a pulley with a support bracket to get this off. Odd how the other side just slid out by hand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. The original rear oil seal I pulled off the longneck is 36x52x7. The one BMW calls for is a 36x52x9. Either someone has changed it in the past and used a different seal or BMW changed the spec somewhere along the line. I'm going with the 9mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I would definitely go with 15" on the NK. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks nick, it's not a lsd that's for sure. That optical illusion S is actually a 3. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I'm trying to figure out what the ratio is for this long neck dif. Is it a 4.11? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Actually they are still available through BMW. It was 60$ cdn out of Germany. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. I spend a lot of time cleaning and organizing as well. It's my pleasure really. Guys like us can't put mis-matched pistons in an engine. Wink wink Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks, I hate getting dirty so I have to clean everything before I work on it. Maybe I picked the wrong hobby. Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Got her cleaned up. Just waiting on some new seals from BMW before I take it apart to paint it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Crunchy of your missing bearings Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I had the same pilot bearing in my 2000ti. I ended up using a peanut butter sandwich to create the hydraulic pressure required to push it out. stuff it with a PB sandwich and pound it in there. Hmmm, however you are missing a few bearings so it may not of worked after all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I need to replace the flat o-rings between the callipers. I'm not sure if the o-rings are the same as the 2002 callipers. If so, I think these ones will work. http://www.eurotruck-importers.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_101&products_id=944 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
