  1. But if I was you. I would buy these ones. http://m.ebay.ca/itm/BMW2002-ORIGINAL-Germany-MAHLE-PISTON-SET-89-97-NOS-/152455158340?hash=item237f091a44%3Ag%3Ayz4AAOSwPcVVuFTx&_trkparms=pageci%253Ae1952a9e-0f7c-11e7-870a-74dbd1807c8e%257Cparentrq%253Af9503b6c15a0a6a4a653ea31fff770ee%257Ciid%253A5 I just bought a new set of mahle exact same size for my 121ti peanut. 2. Here is a set for your block. Give you some idea. http://m.ebay.de/itm/262122762638?_mwBanner=1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Wish I knew where to get these 6 months ago when I was looking for shocks. I waited 3 months for my bilstiens out of Germany. That was before I knew of this forum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks Percy. Very informative. Don't think I'll run out and get cooper gaskets but I found it interesting none the less. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Has anyone ever used a copper head gasket on their 2002 engine? I've been looking into some of the benefits and find it an interesting option for a high compression engine. Probably over kill for my application but if your building a racer is probably be inclined to have one or two made. http://m.paeco.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.paeco.com%2FWeiand%2520Air%2520Cleaners.htm&utm_referrer=#2759 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. If anyone is interested. I saw these on eBay. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Koni-adjustable-front-shock-insert-Einstellbarer-Dampfereinsatz-BMW-2000-NK-NIB-/152452131779?hash=item237edaebc3%3Ag%3AOzIAAOSw2gxYs7Ko&_trkparms=pageci%253A26b63a11-0df3-11e7-b084-74dbd1809780%257Cparentrq%253Aef3be22115a0a605b71670e3fffb8079%257Ciid%253A7 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Nick, I found a supplier in Canada that had 2 of the .03 shims left in their inventory for $3 each so I grabbed them. I almost prefer what you have done with the glass beading and clear. It gives it the antique look. Nice work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Nick, I ordered a fist full of .03mm shims to try and make it happen. No sense is replacing a perfectly good pump. For the timing chain cover and other parts in the pic I used alimu-restore paint in attached pic. I'm told it will hold up to the heat. Love that you still have original oil canister. I tossed mine 20 years ago when I converted over. Hey what can I say, at the time I thought it was a stupid design. Wish I kept it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks. Looking for one for an NK...longer arm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. This is hilarious! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Is this out of a 2002 or NK? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Unless of course I buy a new head.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Mine is at 5.061 and i plan on using a thicker head gasket from rmeuropean. It's going to be a better seal between the block and the head. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. What's up with the bad review? I must say I haven't had any luck purchasing anything on this board. Little reluctant to say the least. Maybe three times a charm... Or is it three times a fool. Can't remember how it goes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. That's a good head. Pm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Image of the pump...."sigh" do I have to buy a new pump!? It's probably the right thing to do...Fml Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Update...front bushings are all the same as 2002. However, the oil pump chain is a different size on the 67'. I believe it's due to the size of the sprocket. I would have to buy a new oil pump to do the full conversion. Maybe I could just buy the sprocket and tap 3 holes in it to fit?? Anyway I'm going to try and use the old chain and sprocket but I'll need to shim it to get rid of some of the slack. I've attached some images showing the slack on the oil pump chain. My question is....is there any limitation to how many shims I can use? Another picture shows the difference between the original timing chain guide and the new one I just installed. Notice how the top is squared off and is longer as well. Replacement of the alternator bushing went well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Run, out of curiosity. What did your 121 head measure at? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Ok Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. What's the measurement height 121 Ti Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Factory thickness on the head is 5.0850-5.0900 min is 5.0630 Mine measured at 5.0610 Does that mean I need an oversize head gasket? Machine shop is confident that I won't have an issue and pressure tested it a 50psi? If that makes sense? Feeling a little frustrated after spending $500 on machine work to a head that I'm feeling to happy about. No fault of anyone really just bad luck I guess. Anyone have a 121ti head out there for a reasonable price? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks for the input. I'm looking further into it. Machine shop did pressure test it and it passed. Never the less, I'm taking it back for them to look closer at it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Hello 2002 owners, I thought I'd throw a pic out of my recently rebuilt 121ti head for my 2000tilux. I haven't talked to the machine shop yet but it mustn't be to concerning if they let it go out looking like this. I'm guessing the cause of this scarring is from sort of backfiring or overheating??
