  1. That sounds like a pretty good idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Thanks. I'm thinking 90lbs.? These are ready for assembly. Just letting the clear coat dry over night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Ahhh never mind. It's that POR-15 built up in the hole. That was weird! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Nothing comes easy with this car. Hole is somehow too small to fit through the shock sleeve. It won't go past the threads. Guess I'll have to make the hole bigger. This is a perfect fit. Fits as it should. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I love it. I throw all my nuts and bolts in there. This unit heats the degreaser as well so by the time it's done the threads are spotless and free of any contaminates. I usually clean the bolt heads with a wire brush attachment on my dremel as well after.
  7. Side project complete. 6.2 oz oil added and now in test phase. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Good to hear. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. These big dust cover I guess you call them came off the front struts when I removed the old original shocks. One of them is completely destroyed and the one in the pic is still intact. Do I really need them anymore considering he bilstiens come with a protective cover? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I thought the long neck was the biggest one? The girl that's media blasting it for me called it "small" as well. I was a little taken by her comment..I thought it was pretty big. Yes, I did have to remove the rear mount to get it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Just did a bit of research. It's the same thing. They both have additives that allow water to emulsify if it should so happen to get in there. Hence the name "marine oil" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Ummmm....no I don't. It felt like 60lb taking them off. I noticed a high heat lock tight product the other day. Any point using that on the bolts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks, I used my body like a transmission jack and pulled it out. Im having it media blasted then will change the seals and o-rings to stop the leaking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. The O-rings came with the kit. Just got the entire package today. Getting the callipers glass beaded then use a high heat clear on them prior to re-assembly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Not sure if this stuff qualifies. I'll look for spec on volume. Also, I planned on using cv boot clamps rather than the original hose clamps that came with the car. I can't find narrow hose clamps and the BMW ones are $20 for the large one and $12 for the small one. I Just can't justify that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I found this interesting. The new O-ring I ordered is much thinner than the original. I really didn't like the look of the new one so I opted to use the old o-ring and put a little silicone to create a better seal. Hopefully it holds. I will put grease in it tomorrow and test it. Top is new bottom is original. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Took all of 1 min to get it on with the end of a spoon after I boiled it. Glad I didn't waste that recalled gin on this job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Got the beast out! Thanks for the support guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I could remove the flange but I'm convinced that this shouldn't have to come off. I think this mount is hindering my ability as I need to come straight out and this thing is making me lean the diff downward. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I pulled the tranny to test if I put the right size pilot bearing in the engine. Yup looks good. Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Ok..this is not coming out with that flange attached. Grrr Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hey chris, remember when I bought this? Wish you got it instead of me now. I feel bad because I don't need it. It doesn't suit my needs. It looks same as yours however. One of holes has been mangled so it needs a big washer. See pic. I'd rather trade something for it rather than selling if your interested. I need a door stop if you have one for NK. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I got back under and took some pics. It looks like it does fit. I didn't see the opening until i used a flash and took this pic. The flange has to be in the right position to slide through. One connector straight up and he other two straight down to make the pass. Duh... I'll try it later after I eat a bowl of wheaties so I can muscle out this boat anchor. Once this is out I'm pretty much out of things to remove. The rear bushings all look good so I'm leaving the rear subframe in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
