  1. Wondering if those would work on my 2000tilux? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Here are a couple pics of the subframe with measuring tape. Same as 2002 subframe? l Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Peter, I was thinking about getting it black chrome wrapped..jk. I'm keeping it all original. I Still have to do the rear shocks if I want to get it on the road. Cleaned up the steering box. It's in really good shape so I'm just changing the gaskets add grease and closing it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Sorry pics not the best. I like to work in the dark and challenge myself further. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thought I would share my progress on the 2000tilux. I'm in the midst of reassembling the engine at the same time I decided to drop the front subframe to redo the bushings and sandblast all the parts. I've decided to go with rubber bushings to keep the ride smooth and avoid the risk of annoying squeaking sounds. New everything! is going into the front end. I don't think I missed anything. The race to get this on the road for summer is on. Here are some pics of the work I did last night and today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Looking for rear seal housing for an 8 bolt crank. I've changed over from a 6 bolt and the housing seal diameter is larger on the 8 bolt. Image shows an example. One on the right is from a 6 bolt and one on the left is 8 bolt. I need the one on the left if anyone has one they don't need. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Peter, if you like I can send them to you no charge and if they work i would probably want $225 for them as they are for a 121ti head. I'd be willing to trade as well if you had something I needed. You will be hard pressed to find the new mahle for 121ti head for under $1000. Very rare and most want upwards of $1300. 8. Peter, machine shop tells me they are no good but the car ran prior to me pulling it apart. For a garage mechanic I would clean them up re-ring them and they would work fine. Especially if you plan on selling the car. I intend to keep this car and drive it as much as possible. Weather permitting. No way I'll just let it sit in my garage though. 9. Peter here are a couple pics of the original pistons. Same as the new ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks Rick, I'm going to order new timing chain and oil pump chain. I need a seal to fit whatever you call this thing in the picture as well. The seal that came with the gasket kit is larger than the original. I'm Not sure why that is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Well folks after a lot of efforts put forth by many involved the engine block and head are completely rebuilt. Thanks to Rick who was able to get me a set of mahle pistons and Alec's machine shop for bearing through the all the hicups along the way. Here is a pic of the block at home now. Time to start the process of putting it together again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It was in my 1967 2000tilux Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. My distributor ends with a 26. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thought I would share what looks like a passport issued for my 1967 2000tilux when it was brought over from Germany. I noticed the typo indicating the year as 1977 rather than 1967 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I think the 3.5432 is the only one that's off. I may have jeffs piston as we are using same machine shop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I bought a set of IE 90mm pistons for my rebuild only to discover that each one of the pistons is actually a different size. Has anyone ever had this experience before or used IE pistons? My rebuild just hit a stop sign. Here are the actual measurements of each piston. #1= 3.5408" #2= 3.5432" #3= 3.5411" #4= 3.5410" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Would these work on a 121ti head? Also, are these forged or cast? They look forged. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Can you tell me if it has standard bearings in it still? If you know. If not, I can work around it. Just to confirm this is the 2.0 crank? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Ok folks, does anyone have a good crank for sale. I need one with an 8 bolt pattern to replace my 6 bolt pattern one. pm me or email me at Naz at batten dot Ca I'm located in Vancouver Canada but can have it shipped to Blaine Wa if it's easier for you. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I'm looking for a crank as well. 8 bolt pattern. If anyone has one for sale let me know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. Ryan, what you have is a 215mm or 225mm flywheel. 6 bolt 228mm is aftermarket and available in aluminum as a performance upgrade. Just throwing it out there if by some chance someone has one they don't need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks, I am also considering replacing the crank to an 8 bolt unit. Anyone have one of those along with a 228mm flywheel? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I'm looking for a 228mm flywheel with 6 bolt pattern for a reasonable price. Would prefer to go this direction rather than replace the crank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Very informative thread. Thanks for your input Ed. I think we can all nail this down based on all the info. we have here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
