  1. Looking for horn ring and button for my 1968 Personal Collaudo steering wheel. I have the plastic bmw horn button (small roundel). Looking for the one with 45mm roundel and preferably metal ring. ****************** Updated May 2018 ****************** No longer needed
  2. I think Steve's the man. Maybe we need to block multible signups from same IP? Not sure.
  3. In case anyone is having the same question about this transmission with numbers: 262.0.150.00 226 2.2 As Nick pointed out earlier, this is in fact a 265/5 CR Dogleg transmission. Also this link: https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2066038-Feeler-Getrag-265-5-CR Thanks for all your support.
  4. I saw 4 m19 nuts that attach the box to bel housing. Opened 3 but couldn't open the 4th one. There's a sensor in front it it and there's only about 20mm space for a wrench but then even if I manage to grab it, there's no free version lay for the wrench. Clutch cylinder is mounted to the bel housing. Removing it gave me some more space but still count get to that nut. All I have now is the casting serial number and model number. I did try the gears and it was a 5 speed dogleg pattern.
  5. The number ends with 00 instead of 90? But the shift pattern is dogleg with 1st in lower left and 5th in lower right.
  6. 1986 E28 M535i with factory CR 5 speed dogleg. Does anyone know what model CR box it came with? Detachable bel housing? I'm going to see it tomorrow before its being dismantled. Not sure how to figure out if it's factory CR or from another car. Also, is it hard to remove the box? Any help is appreciated. Cheers
  7. I have removed the the indicator stalk tip, its just a screw attachment, but the wiper stalk is 'push in' switch and im worried if turning the tip anti clockwise to open, it might destroy something. Has anyone pulled these apart before? I have March 73tii but it seems like it came or was upgraded with 74-76 stalks. Thanks
  8. Wow for $90 I'll fly to US and run your cable for you! [emoji1]
  9. Even so, you'd still wanna wrap the wires with tesa cloth tape (it's not sticky). I used black flexible auto electrical pipe, then routed the pipe, under the light housing and alongside the body.
  10. Have you heard of tesa auto wiring insulation tape? Cheap, oem grade, effective and clean.
  11. Would you explain how brakes make a car go faster? Thanks
  12. Thanks mike, I have removed everything except engine and it's attached components from the engine bay. So no electrical wires, no fuse/relays and no brake boosters. Trying to keep the engine bay tidy. I did install a one way valve and tested the washer which was normal. I might install a pump from Nissan patrol which is stronger but only if the vdo pump fail.
  13. I'm in the process of relocating the vdo washer bottle to boot. All tubing done. Show me your setup if you've done this relocation. I just don't want to drill holes in body to mound this. Was thinking of using the washer bag style and use velcro or zip ties to mount it. How did you do it? Cheers
  14. Please do elaborate if you may. We will in turn request for its promotion to the article section. [emoji3]
  15. Thanks, there's non available on Amazon and they don't ship overseas anyway. I'll have to buy from a member here.
