  1. I have good fluid to the drums on bleeding but have new lines if nothing else fixes it. Will dig back in on Sunday again.
  2. Rivet area is good…did a search and knew to check that as well. My springs are not facing out…seemed like such a b to get that to happen. I don’t see the hook contacting anything else but can go back and do that over again…sandwiching all of that together with spring on the inside seemed pretty hard!
  3. Replaced everything in rear brakes a few months ago. 74tii. Brembos drums and shoes from blunt. Pedal is good. Rear Passenger side still drags no matter what I do. I have adjusters freed up and not contacting shoes at all. Drivers side is fine but passenger is still dragging after a drive. E cables seem fine..the only thing I’m wondering is if spring is not returning arm all the way open again after using. Cables engage and let go enough to spin wheel by hand but still get warmth! Can those springs get weak but cable still operate ok? Any ideas? I had drums off many times now at this point trying to solve.
  4. I’ll add my two cents. Don’t think I have any pictures but I cleaned mine as well as I could and then redyed them with spray vinyl dye. Very easy and looked brand new!
  5. Would it hurt your feelings if I dyed them all black? New boards and everything? If so I will take!
  6. Starting putting my new matching covers on my back seat frame. Fingers are so sore!! Stretching and poking through the little spikes….respect for those that do this for a living!!
  7. I used spray carb cleaner just by hand out of a can and it stopped the leaking. Works fine now. Give it a try!
  8. As an update…sprayed carb cleaner around runner and any other suspect areas. No changes. Starts right up, once warm idle surges up and down. All air lines appear to be ok. I went ahead and double checked the runner just to be sure and all is fine I believe with lower gasket. I am thinking now, Tuna can just needs to be adjusted because of new linkages? There was enough slop to be weird with new ones?
  9. Passenger side square tail seat rails needed. Thanks!
  10. Thanks everyone. I had some wrestling down below with the starter bolts to get the original out so my guess is vacuum line somewhere too or I put the gasket on upside down or something. It fit over the bolts fine. Can anyone confirm if there is a right or wrong direction for the lower runner gasket? I’ll fiddle more on Sunday. To go back..it ran just fine but had a slow start and some pretty crusty linkages so I bought replacements. First time it’s ever died was after this repair sequence. 🤦‍♂️
  11. I could not get to the back linkage under that runner. So I took it off. I do not have the Tii tools. Have the fi manual and have the companion on its way.
  12. I thought of that too. Like everything was cool until I messed it up with new parts. Still feel like it’s a vacuum issue on that runner. Metal ones…but still.
  13. I’m pretty sure the two short ones are identical. I measured multiple times to be sure. As I slept last night I wondered if I put the lower runner gasket on correctly. It is kind of an odd shape and it seemed like the way I put it on would seal but I wonder if it’s upside down…it kind of has a notch in it.
  14. So I replaced the ancient starter with smaller later one reccomended here, left off the black and red wire as recommended. I also took off runner 1 to get to the two small linkages and replaced those with new from probimmer. (Already had done long one from pedal) Got it all back together and car started right up spinning so much faster than before and ran fine…until it warmed up. Surging and finally dying from low rpm. Starts right back up but dies now that it is warm. Feels like a vacuum leak maybe but I even replaced the gaskets on intake runner to seal it up. Ideas? Should have just done the starter only so I wouldn’t think it was causing it! one thing at a time!! Rookie move.
  15. Out with the old….not easy getting this out. Those bolts were put on tight in 1974!
  16. I am beyond pleased with all aspects of Purchase, which doesn’t happen often these days! ?
  17. I had been on the lookout for recaros for the past year for my inka 74tii resurrection. I would only find them close to or over 3 grand and it still didn’t solve my back seat cover needs. Used ones were all a compromise and could not find anything great close by. I found the company Rolla Resources and I cannot recommend them enough. I chose my type of seat, fabric choice and sent him my shredded rear covers to use for a template. They turned out amazing and even with shipping the whole deal was right at $2500 for my choices of seat and material. This guy has skills. I can’t find a flaw of any kind. He works off of Facebook messenger out of Malaysia and communicated great and sent pictures throughout the process. It took a few weeks for production and then about a week to get to Texas. Can’t wait to get em in the car.
  18. Mine is all rusty and broken. Live in dallas tx area. Thanks!
  19. Rolla resources. Will make a post of my experience. Really great stuff.
  20. Passenger seat has come in. Just beautiful! More pics and posts to come…I have a new vendor for custom recaros!
