  1. Bump. Just need one bow. Have made the rod at this point. These are the same as a non sunroof car. Thanks.
  2. Bump. Had a lead but no dice! still in need.
  3. Yup! I have posted on the euro 02 forum as well and a nice guy posted the schematics…but also for the normal crank version.
  4. Recently I did oem sealwith glass ordered from W and N. Arrived safely to us. It’s an ordeal to get in but the front was easier than the back!
  5. Good morning. I’ve posted in the past of my strange wabasto sunroof mechanism that is in my 74tii. I am proud to say through research of mercedes parts and use of my welder, it works great and slides back and forth with ease. I am starting to plan how to get ready for installing the interior parts of everything. I currently have no rods or bows with the car. My understanding is the back area of the tray should have a board(I will try and use some sort of synthetic material to aid in longevity) that slides into the little tabs. Are the four bolts or so in the back supposed to go through that piece. Those screw/bolts are all currently still there. Next question. Bows and rods. My understanding was the sunroof cars only used a couple bows and one rod in the back on the board. If you look in pics all of the normal bow holes currently have plastic grommets in them. Wondering if having the wabasto they had some Frankenstein way of using the non sunroof liner? Any ideas how many bows/rods I need for this version and type of liner I should get? I have only installed non sunroof headliner in the past. Let me know if I can take a better pic of something.
  6. I got mine there a few years ago now when it was much cheaper and the best part is the shipping! Included and they dropped it on my driveway. You can find my post when I got it but I think I paid 1900. It was crazy.
  7. I love mine more than any tool I have ever purchased. I had a guy come in with a ground penetrating radar and marked up my garage. I had up to 6 inches thick in some places and avoided all of the post tension cables.
  8. Got the brace pushed way up, compressed the foam doughnut, and ground more metal off new arm…I can, with some force, get the car into reverse and out. The other 4 gears feel great as does the new guibo and evidently I got the driveshaft in there straight as no weird vibrations. I’ll count this as a win. The right length shifter would have been nice.
  9. I’ll go back out and mess with it. Will try and get a picture. The rod now literally hits the platform when trying for reverse….with all new bushings and mounts it’s pretty straight and tight. I’ll take the support bracket down and see if that makes any changes.
  10. All that is brand new! Came in the kit from IE. It’s the stick. It is not the right length below the ball for some reason.
  11. Nope. No switches on the platform…I had the whole thing off the car and nothing like that did I see. Never knew that was a thing!
  12. Been searching for photos. Starting to think shifter I bought from forum member has been messed with. Notice how little length there is below the ball on later one vs. early style. What gives?
  13. It’s on the passenger side…yes? As per the diagrams. Diagrams show coming in from that side! (Right side looking from back) yes??
  14. Thanks man! Just messaged you. All supports and bushings are all freshened up from the kit too.
  15. Really?? iE says you just need a late model 74 on shifter. I bought one from a forum member.
  16. Consulted the great Barney as well, but wanted everyone’s take. I bought the “old to new” shifter kit from IE and replaced all bushings and got a late model shifter from a forum member. Got everything together and cannot get into reverse. I pulled the new style rod and even ground on it a little to hopefully let it twist more when you try to go into reverse. No dice! Also late rod is shorter south of the ball joint which really is what is causing the issue I think. Do I just go back to all early style stuff or a combo? Has anyone gotten this to work? Car went in all gears before, just was floppy everywhere from bad bushings. Good news is drive axle and exhaust are all back on! 🤦‍♂️ Not super happy with this “kit”
  17. I live in plano and ordered parts there almost weekly this summer while I had time to work on stuff. They can get me stuff within one day usually. Nice guys and it helps to have a part number for them.
  18. Assembling my early to late shifter mechanism with all new ie rebuild kit. I love new parts. My wife loves when I do stuff like this on our living room rug. 😂

Car sat in a shipping container and off road in California from 2009 to 2021. Was told it was a former coupe king potential rebuild car. Matching numbers. Bought from forum member Danco and had it shipped to Texas. Got it running well, tracked down missing pieces and did full brake, shifter, and suspension update. Hopefully going to paint within 6 months to a year.
  20. Agree. I started with floors and then the rockers and quarter panels…if I can do it, anyone can. For me to have this hobby there was no way I could pay someone else to do it. You can do it and it doesn’t have to be pretty back there!
  21. As someone who has done that…it IS a lot of drilling and plug welding! What spot welder did you use? I’m always looking for an easier way.
  22. Let me know when you start selling off stuff. You know I will give it a good home! Always open to another great decision. 😂🤷‍♂️
