  1. Thanks Nick...Sweet! I missed this awesome site. Incredible how many of these ‘lil monsters are running around the world, wreaking havoc! Should I email you updated specs and pics some time? SO much has been done to mine since the initial posting... COOP
  2. I’ll take a pic tomorrow... COOP
  3. Lorin...I’m not nearly as knowledgeable as many, but the issue I’m having here with understanding is that I don’t have lower perches anymore and don’t have any intention of re-welding any on. I get that the KW unit can be configured to work as a coilover if a perch is installed, but want a conventional CO mounting setup, as I have with my current, older, IE system. COOP
  4. Lorin, Excellent concept and execution of the “Quote” feature, but... ...Please refer back to “my perches are long gone.” I grinded them off when I converted to coilovers. COOP
  5. It’s a bummer (for me) that rear coilovers are not yet available, as my perches are long gone. I’m interested in upgrading my entire suspension (15+ yr old I.E. F/R coilover system w/spherical bearings, etc) to the latest/greatest Tech and I love the exotic nature of KW components. My suspension works well enough for backroad rips but is a bit too harsh and noisy for my tastes. I know that GC/I.E. make fine stuff but I want something different. The waiting will continue for now. COOP
  6. Close call for ‘Ol Bobby Yang here on the FAQ lol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzYO0joolR0
  7. That is funny! I hope you and your Mom have a wonderful time together. Well...your car is going to be on the same lawn as my Baikal tii was...so it actually won’t be “a long way” from it at all. Besides, “my” tii (2760754) now resides with its new owner in Europe...So you have a major edge there. My advice (fwiw) is don’t bother spending a fortune getting your car “ready.” TQ selected it for a reason and you really don’t have to go nuts...unless you want to! COOP
  8. Congratulations! Brings back many happy memories, most of all my Mom flying out from Boston to celebrate her 80th with me at The Quail. COOP
  9. Wow! He lives only a few blocks from my work!

“So I quit my job of my own accord and on good terms but now I want to honor those good terms by declaring open season on my former employer and telling everyone about all the bullshit...and by the way, I’m starting a new business.” Ummm...Wha? COOP
  11. Three awesome modifications this past Monday: 1. Kooglewerks “Slim” aluminum air dam. http://www.kooglewerks.com/products/jc60x9wecvt5y8zt5jvgjmull7vdmw 2. “Massive” M2 oil pan. http://www.massivebrakes.com/accessories.php?p=M2-oil-pan 3. LED taillights from BluntTech https://blunttech.com/products/6680715 COOP
  12. Thanks for sharing! Nice driving and cool footage! I love Sears Point. COOP
  13. Funny marcmac, I was actually talking to Forrest recently about my recurring fantasies relating to custom fuel cells. I don’t track my car, so in my case this would be little more than an exercise in aesthetic wankery...but I still think it would be really cool, and I’d love more fuel capacity too. There’s nothing sexy “off the rack” that I’ve seen, as everything that you can buy ready-made just looks like an ugly box. COOP
  14. Well, it looks pretty well-protected by both the sway bar and the subframe. I hear ya though. I’m sure that Lee considered this issue. I think I have an idea as to what Forrest would say! http://www.kooglewerks.com/products/bmw-2002-aluminum-skid-plate COOP
  15. A great day for my ‘02. Thanks to Forrest Koogle who installed his new, “slim” raw aluminum air dam on my car at A1 Imports. Beautiful workmanship and flawless customer service from a genuine dude. Thanks to Lee (Massive) for conceiving this awesome oil pan which only took me a year + to install. And thanks to JP at A1 for installing the pan, as well as the LED taillight conversion sourced from Blunt. Progress!
  16. Sorry if I’m hijacking more of a “flares-themed” thread but...very stoked to have the inimitable Forrest Koogle install his new, “slim dam” on my ‘73 M2 2.5 this Monday. I’ve been back & forth on this as I’m partial to the “sleeper” look with my car...but I think it’s going to be a great, low-key enhancement. Below is a pic of the slim dam mocked up on my car at Brisbane...that’s when Forrest’s metalwork first piqued my interest. Will start with it unpainted (besides FK pointed out that the raw aluminum matches my HRE wheels). May go body color at a later date, we’ll see. Also (finally) installing Lee’s Massive Oil Pan from the first group-buy and Blunttech’s led taillight conversion the same day. COOP
  17. Thou Art...A Humongous BadAss!! Incredible job and great presentation of the build. I feel lucky to have seen this work of art at Brisbane and it’s even more spectacular in person. Huge Props, Mark! Can’t get any more “true enthusiast” than this. COOP
  18. Incredible work...RESPECT! COOP
  19. A treasure indeed...impeccable taste, simply delectable. Congratulations! COOP
