100K km is 62,500 miles. I do not know how many times it has rolled over since 1968.

Would you be able to describe how you built the BT receiver/ Vintage radio combo?
Similar to this, it plugs in the back & powered by the radio. They work very well.

Looks great! Are there patterns out there for these or did you just measure?
These are recovered originals. When I made the side panels, the floor panels didn't fit. So I scribed them, cut, sanded, re-glued & stapled the material.

Have discussed the White/Black 1988 M3 in my photos extensively with Mario & Chris Langsten. The asking price is very fair for the car. I would have to sell my 1997 Dinan M3 & the 2007 3.0 Z4 Coupe + $20+ just to buy it. The E30 needs some rust remediation bodywork & a fully repainted to be 100%. Last thing I need or want is to spend another $25-$30K to fix it. While It was fun to drive for those 30 miles, It's a bit too "Boy Racer" for me.
The 1988 M5 does it for me. It does everything exceptionally well without drawing a lot of attention. It is truly a wolf in sheep's clothing. Even with the purchase, restoration, suspension & tires, I'm still below market value of E28 M5s.
Have had my 1997 M3 for 19 years, bought it with 36K miles & it just turned 100K miles last fall. It looks like it left the showroom a few days ago I have meticulously maintained it. It's the best car I have ever owned. Made it a full Dinan car in 2016. Compared to the 2007 Z4 Coupe the E36 M3 feels like a very fast truck.
The 2007 Z4 Coupe we bought last May it is completely stock. It is very fast with a lot of torque & the suspension is super tight and very responsive. Bought it for $10K + set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4Ss + registration expenses. Put 4K miles on it last year.
The E28 M5, E36 M3 & E86 Z4 run circles around the E30 M3. Not willing to part with 3 for 1.

Yes in the Lowe's parking lot I had to replace a fuse, the only problem I had that trip.
Ah the memory of the Red Car Street Gang. That's Wegweiser's F'Bomb next to Vern & P2 is the yellow car.

Do you remember the name of the original/previous owner?
Steve Palamar of Telluride Colorado.

Under dash chrome is still available through either BMW or Walloth-Nesch. Vintage Sports & Restoration recovered the original trunk boards. I made new side boards from the originals used as patterns.

Can anyone explain how the motor is controlled by the five wires? I was thinking, is it getting different voltages for the different wiper speeds?
Two speeds and wash.

Restore the linkage. Covers are available through Walloth Nesch, Blunt or bimmer.com.

Very well done! Keep us posted how well it holds up.

Luckily this BMW has a black interior and carpets. Wanted these in my 2002Tii, but clashed with the carpet.
