I replaced my old shocks with Sachs shocks after deciding to keep the suspension all stock. After two years and about 5,000 miles of driving I regret I didn't go with the Bilstein HDs, but will do so soon.

I had a '73 Manta Rallye. Nice car in those days. On hot days, you had to dry the hood very quickly so the water wouldn't boil on the matte black paint.
Then the BMW fever started... -Raine
I contacted the seller a few weeks ago and got a few additional photos. The car has had some rust work prepared, but a lot is still left and IMHO is not sound.
Did the kit come with new padding to do away with the horse hair? How much did the local install cost?
I didn't order the padding, he preferred to use foam. I also had the carpet installed as part of the package, so I have to estimate the seat cover installations to be about $750 or a little more (w/headrests).
A friend (in the Washington, DC area) may be needing for someone to look at a car at the Arnold Air Force Base. It's a '99 328is. Anyone in the area?-Raine

Well, something is odd since the phone number given is a company fax number in PA. I tried. Also, why such a huge difference in price? His name (in a returned email) is also different from the one in the listing???
Phone: (570) 837- Fax: (570) 837-6104 814 Broadway Rd., Winfield, PA 17889.
Looks to me like this car was just sold on eBay last month and now reappeared on cars.com for a LOT less money. The phone is a fax number, too.

There is also a 1966 1800 in Finland with 68,000kms, third owner, all original, with history, no rust. Asking 40,000 euros, ouch.
