  2. Think about this for a moment: "So what makes this car special? Well, in 1978 BMW offered a BRAND NEW (not rebuilt) Shortblock as a factory installed option, which this car recieved." If this is a MY 1976 2002, the factory could not have installed the engine in 1978. -Raine

  10. Wonderful machine. He claims it takes about 1,000 hp to do that. I probably has that much or more. They have a 2,000 hp dyno.

  13. Jim, There's a builder in Finland who has a very nice-looking 72 2002 engine, not injected though. He uses the M10 block with M3 head and crank, 5-speed G-force transmission and 4.86 rear. 0-100 kms 1.5s, 0-214 kms 5. s, 0-402m 8,399s. Awesome. -Raine http://www.virtalaracing.com/galleria
