  1. Haha Ken, sounds like we are on the same track. I'll check with Jaymic 7002Chris, are those OEM Turbo flares? I don't want to risk getting one side wrong and I am set on going all OEM if possible.
  2. Apparently the front left OE flare (pt#51711831351) is NLA. Anybody have one or a front set or full set they want to part with? Thanks in advance.
  3. I know it's late notice, but FYI the last chance to get in on a 2012 production is tomorrow. I've been off the site for a bit, so I'm not sure why Lee hasn't posted this here. Just thought I would put it out there. I can't imagine my M20 turbo build having anything other than Massive brakes.
  4. Third in line. Send me an email creede at grassrootsmodern.com
  5. Not really. Most the local guys are on Driveaddict.com Registration is closed so email me if you want to join. It's a great group. I agree. If someone had the time/effort I'm sure we could pull together a monthly meet. There is a local Cars and Coffee every saturday. Right now it's mostly Corvettes and Coffee. Maybe we could start meeting there.
  6. Bouldering we got. Organized 02' club, not so much. There is a good group of BMW lovers that frequent another forum, but only one or two that have 2002's. Hit me up when you get in town, I'll point you in the right direction. creede at grassrootsmodern dot com
  7. I'm pretty sure it's a standard box. I figure if it's dogleg we're looking at around $1k or so. If it's standard, $500? -Lloyd These prices look about right for the low end. If it's been rebuilt by a reputable shop recently with documentation prices can be much higher. I think I paid $600 for my 323 box with shortened shift linkage.
  8. Rear diff couldn't handle the S52. E30 diff swap would be needed. I think fitment will require some massaging. Why not just go M20 turbo. It's well documented and fairly straight forward.
  9. Are these really associated with 2002haus? Seems fishy. There is a lot more to the 2002haus mounts than what is pictured in that link. That's just one part of it.
  10. You could try Platts too. Not sure if they have experience with 2002's but they did a great job on a rabbit soft top for me.

  12. Having used these with my M20 swap I can say that they are EXTREMELY high quality, and make for a very easy install.
  13. Great work Rob. Glad to see you shared this with the group. I know you have been working on it for a long time. Having bought Rob's M20 mounts for my project I can say that he makes extremely high quality stuff that just works. This will make it so much easier for those looking to put down some extra power. Rob can clarify but I think that it will include custom axels which are necessary to keep the same track width. I'm anxious to see pricing. I expect it to be on the high side, but you get what you pay for. Rob, put me in line for one.
  14. I'm also interested. I think the Rob (2002haus) was working on something like this too.
  15. I wouldn't worry about the extra weight of an M20. I've seen 2002 M20's with a perfect 50/50 balance. Loose a front bumper and move the battery to the trunk and you about make up for the extra weight.
  16. That sucks. I can't imagine what the other car looked like. That's no small truck. For your sake I hope it is totaled.
  17. It should have a whole second section after the M60 stamp like this one. Here's another picture of one. One obvious difference between the close ratio and the OD transmission is the reverse light switch. On a OD transmission it's on the top like the one in this pic from my2002tii. More info here. http://www.bmwe21.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1977
  18. Looks a little short for a 5 speed.
  19. 23rd is best for me, but I don't have a running 2002 so my vote shouldn't count for much.
  20. I believe they are custom. I don't think you are going to find something comparable off the shelf.
