  1. The underbody fade, while factory, looks incomplete, and a little trashy. Doing the underbody with all schutz (in body color) certainly helps me find my perfectionist zen while laying underneath stripping brake line nuts. To each their own!
  2. John, common point for me is making sure the schutz lines are correct. In addition to the rockers, this also goes for the spare tire well, and back panel in the trunk. I'm sure there's more, but that is what jumps out at this second.
  3. Cliff notes ... By nature of its inelastic mechanical injection system (assuming you're not sending the pump out to recalibrate it), there's not much you can do to the engine other than comparatively small fiddly stuff. -Andrew Throws Kugelfischer systems into the neighbor's pool, while other neighbors fish them out.
  4. Looking forward to being there! Happy to bring the wife and kids in tow this time (the In and Out truck convinced them).
  5. Small bit of proactive advice, confirm that they are 200mm's.... they are a bit of an odd-duck. (coming from an ex-supplier's perspective, I'd sell 20 sets of 230's to 1 set of 200's)
  6. I think you need to rearrange your perspective a bit. $160 is borderline insane (assuming you’re correct on it being per shoe, and that the ebrake lever is incorporated), the pricing reflects an out-of-alignment pricing algorithm and not a value judgement. $70 is still decently high for brake shoes, but much more inline with reality for a quality set.
  7. @Geoff Raynak Frankly I’d love nothing more than to find a better fitting alternative to the stock booster (without resorting to manual brakes). I will %100 look into this…. after I get the car running as is. Thank you for bringing it up.
  8. The 14” nk steelies are a great way to get a classic look with a little extra oomph. Very popular and hard to come by.
  9. It's not available anywhere I've seen. Best to place a post in the WTB section. It, and the cup, would be nice pieces for someone to remake.
  10. @Son of Marty The radiator is custom, but with a story. Started with an E30/E36 radiator, cut the bottom off. Used that as a base dimension and got a thicker core to match. Patrick up at Midnight then welded it all up. He's got a replicable template now, should anyone want one. The booster is a PITA... based off of my initial dimensions, I thought there'd be no issue. Not so much. Stacks won't clear, nor will the bottom mount cable linkage bracket. Problems for tomorrow.
  11. Carbs mocked up! Running into road blocks, and there is a long way to go, so it’s far from the final. However, it feels great to see them sitting there.
  12. Looks like a great project, love the plans. Also, very curious how the CC Autobody Class goes for you. Please start a blog (in the blog section) where we can follow along.
  13. lol, well, it’s in!!!! Albeit with some caveats. I need to configure things a little more rearward to match with my initial measurements. So at the moment the hoist is still in place. Don’t mind the temporary valve cover.
  14. Please post price, as per my comment in your other thread. Looks like some great parts, but the faq classifieds are run on clear up-front pricing as a sign of common sense decency among enthusiasts. If you would like to auction the items off to the highest bidder, I humbly suggest eBay.
  15. Please post pricing, as per description. Sounds like some neat parts, but there needs to be a basic cost associated with the parts. If your worried about not knowing costs, your more than welcome to ask for opinions. thank you! ” BMW 2002 and Neue Klasse Parts For Sale Classified section for all BMW 2002, BMW Neue Klasse and other Vintage BMW Parts For Sale. 16. Thank you Lorin! Trying to finish work early to get on it this afternoon.
  17. Getting texted by friends at Monterey is NOT cool… but does serve as inspiration! Engine time! Finished the bay prep, including fitting the brake fluid reservoir and bending a new matching clutch master feed pipe. Also zip-tied the brake residual pressure valve. Note the engine mount locations with the 02 Underground mounts (inspired by the old 02 autohaus setup).
  18. Fixed .... brakes, who needs brakes?
  19. Jeff will forget more than I’ll ever learn, but in this case… as stated by Hal, Tradition, and Fuzzy…. (ignore the looped soft line, just holding the hard lines in place)
  20. I was looking for some recently as well. good updates here
  21. Have fun! I sincerely wish I was there. Please post plenty of pictures and stories.
  22. yes, and as stated by realoem it's a direct swap.
  23. Those specifically are plastic grills meant for the early grill opening. You show them mounted on a late style nose though. My 0.02 price opinion would be $750-$900 assuming no cracks.
