  5. sorry to hijack, but I what is the history of the TiSa engines and cars.. it'll make the build more interesting.
  6. I wish i had something valuable to add to this thread. I never really pick fights, so i don't really have a problem
  7. One thing that I might rule out is that m3 heavy duty pressure plate, because I couldnt find it for less than 350 or 450 Dollars. for that price I could find a stage X Spec clutch I did see how ireland engineering has : http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFront/default.asp?CS=ireland&StoreType=BtoC&Count1=767254054&Count2=684394478 Not sure if it is that pressure plate tom is referring to per-se, but It seems to be roughly what you guys are talking about. It's been slightly difficult to commit to one over the other, because of cost effectiveness. I would LOve to get a JBR flywheel like the one I have on the 318is, but I dont think I can drop the bones on one this time. (maybe reduce the weight of the steel flywheel?). I know SPEC has 2002 clutches for all 2002 models from anywhere from 250 for stage 1 to 350 for stage 2-4 all with the pressure plates and clutch discs, sprung hubs Spec clutches: http://www.specclutchsuperstore.com/bmw-2000-19691973-c-514_620_775.html http://www.specclutchsuperstore.com/bmw-2002-19741976-c-514_620_779.html http://www.specclutchsuperstore.com/bmw-2000-19691973-c-514_620_778.html
  8. This is for a 245 Transmission I already have a tii flywheel and tii clutch components... but I dont think they will hold
  9. is the e30 m3 pressure plate got better pressure than the 2002 pressure plate? do you know if it is lighter? Thanks,
  10. I have a 5 speed conversion, and dont know much about what type of clutch I should be looking into. I have a stock clutch with the 228 flywheel, but I think that it'll slip because of the engine I got > the engine will be able to put out roughly anywhere from 200-400 ponies, that's what it's built to handle. but I'd like a somewhat forgiving clutch, not completely, but somewhat. I know of centrifuge, SPEC and Ireland engineering http://www.specclutchsuperstore.com/bmw-2002-19741976-c-514_620_779.html SCHOOL ME! Thanks! P.s. blog was updated. below
  11. I know martin pretty well, and he has helped me out many of times. - Where is a catalogue of the stuff they offer? what exactly do you plan to adjust of your suspension
  12. You should be able to find a STOCK ignition curve somewhere; Work from there. also, I would take it to a dyno tuner and have them tune it for you for roughly 200$. Then you know EXactly Where the best place is to have your ignition curve. They can then post up a wideband of what the fuel ratio was/is. Then from there you can see if oyu need to do any additional Tuning. or you can fiddle with it yourself. either that or I'd recommend getting Dyno for an Itouch or iphone, It measures the G's your car pulls, so you can get numbers instead of seat of pants per se.
  13. you don't have 2002 oil Baffles do you
  14. NOT MUCh left to do folks.....!!! Next up it's engine in, 5speed in, BBS euroweaves ON. exhaust dealt with. break-in period.... driving... Take to dyno-tuner. MEANWhiLE SEARCHING FOR A DIFFEReNT better turbo AKA holset or something to replace this ebay teerrbo. Few Other things I need to deal with down the road or sooner -oil temp Gauges (VDO) oil cooling system, whether S14 oil filter housing, or sandwich between filter. Right now Im thinking whether or not I should get my oil pan baffled (for 35 Dollars) or get a Crank Scraper (45 dollars OR 90 dollars) and other little tidbits for performace I might throw in there while it's still out..... Any things you guys can think of?
  15. LOL for the nights wives wont put out due to the attention being focused on your 02...
