    Bat.... man!

    At least the dickhead used an Escort. Could of been worse if it was an 02. There are some whacked guys out there, at least he takes the whacked girls off the streets... :}

    Like I said earlier, This would solve all bickering... Put them on a photo dump site and list it here once with the link. I check all posts but sometimes am in a hurry and have to come back later only to scroll through multiple listings from the same guy. Why not dump them on a (FREE) photobucket or flicker account with CLEAR, HIGH RES pics with various close ups and PRICES. That eliminates a million questions and the request for close up pics or better pics & what you need price wise for the item... If it doesn't sell there must be a reason. IE: too high of a price or it may be junk. Don't keep re posting to get it on top of the list. Advertise elsewhere if you have to re post ten times with the same result. No sale.

  9. Keep shooting it up Harry. Any time you can go to the mall & see what your seeing is a worthwhile trip. Would have loved to see the M.G's & Datsuns. Keep posting. If folks complain send them to my email or give me the link. I'm always interested Harry. Thank you for posting. I'm checking with our members on the 1500. I see it has one of Pedro's racks on the back. We keep a tight watch on where they are & go if they sell. It should turn out to be one of our club members car. Thanks again.
  10. Nice Harry. What locale are you? Which mall was this? Pretty cool your mall does exhibits like that. Some nice rides there.
  11. No, you don't. But NBristow01 has asked a whole series of questions over the last few months that made me think- here's someone who could use the factory manual. It'd give him a starting place... Wonder if he knows that it's floating around in PDF form in hyperspace... somewhere. As to where, I dunno. That's a fracas I was hoping to stay out of. Manuals. Scroll down to my posts. http://www.bmw2002faq.com//index.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=57&page=viewtopic&p=683170&&sid=9831d611187bbfa6399d74780c273662
  12. Jim, Trash. Would it be wise to fab a quick bracket to extend to the end of that starter for support or no need. Thanks.
  13. Thanks again Jim. Yes, Blunt is the main place for me. Even if it is cheaper elsewhere I don't like the wrong info or part and the hassle of returning it. Thank you Jim. ps. went to look/get a squareback in Lansing and it sold in less than two hours after listing. Apparently Vee Dubs are in demand in lower Michigan.
  14. Perfect timing Jim. I was just about to hit the pure Tii site to reference or refresh my memory of what I read last year as I will be ordering one of those in the next two weeks. Thanks for reminding me of this. Quick question as I have you on here. Where are you getting the alternator and what model number for the Tii. Don't need nothing super special or Hi output. Still the stock Tii I have with the addition of fog lights. Thats it. I am a lazy bastard. Just trying to save searching for 500 or so posts. Thanks Jim.
  15. Plans can change in a heartbeat as I found out tonight. I was with two friends of mine after work tonight and they were saying how the winter has drug them down and we need to get out of here for a cruise. I invited them down to the V@V and the Rolling the twisties tour afterwards along with the South Bend show and a couple of VW & Alfa shows I’m going to hit along the way. Just the break they needed. We talked for a bit and now are getting together this weekend to finalize the itinerary. Looks like the mode of transportation has changed though. Guess I’ll be doing V@V & Rolling the twisties on a Harley this year. Didn’t plan on it but I took a month off for the V@V and these guys are retired so we are adding additional locations to the trip. Should still be a great time. Never thought I’d be taking the Harley. Maybe I should glue a BMW roundel on the tank so I don’t get shot at V@V...
  16. It sucks Armond. We have the pleasure of a one year, one number only distributor. Any other number and it is not for your car. I found one with the same numbers except the middle three were close. Close but no cigar. It was for a 74 one year only automatic. I don't know anything about using others and rigging or whatever some are doing to make it work but you need a dizzy with the numbers 74 Tii 231 180 013 My journey: http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,57/page,viewtopic/p,660766/highlight,/#660766 http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,57/page,viewtopic/p,661167/highlight,/#661167
  17. 3dog, No sorry, no 02's. I did see an Z8 vert with a spare hardtop leaning against the wall. This is a portion of his collection so maybe next time will provide other vehicles not seen on this trip. I'm scrolling through and trying to answer these questions and realize I'm way off topic and now I see I'm not even in the off topic forum. Sorry to ramble. Moderators feel free to move this to the correct location.
  18. Arden, Pablo & Speed. Don’t feel bad about the garage queens. None of them are doomed. All of these get driven. He is like us. Were Michiganders. We will drive through anything at any time. We live in the rust belt. It can be restored or rebuilt when it falls apart. Michiganders have always had that attitude unlike you sun guys. Wish we had the sun and dry climate then we wouldn't have that attitude. That’s something we have to live with. If you notice the first three vehicles when I walked in the garage are by the door. These are his winter beaters. They just got all the salt off of them not too long before these pics. The Porsche, Bentley and the SUV in the first pics. He has transferrable plates that go on any vehicle at any time he drives them. He does drive them all at some time (hence the battery tenders on every one of them) with a preference to the vettes being a G.M. boy.
  19. So true. If only we had life like that or even a portion of life like that would satisfy me.
  20. 74, I'm still wiping slobber off my shirt. He may have the cars but look at your avatar. You have two more in each hand than we do.... Dog...
  21. Jim, I don't know about freakish but kind of like when you run across something you owned at one time or even wanted at some time. He has some cars that probably brings back memories. I was expecting a pacer or gremlin to tell you the truth. Started in owning a title company and being the son of an G.M. Exec bought his first vette in 77. Sold the company and bought out his Cousin in 2008. Look up John Lingenfelter. An old racer, engineer guy. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. Any of the cars you see with his name across the top of the windscreen or badging on the car is one of their creations.
  22. Poon, Yes he does have a web site but nothing to do with this collection. If you want to buy a new corvette or any new retro hot car or old for that matter and hand him $80 to $200 thou cash he will build you a car that you will never regret going into debit for. He does a lot of functions for the community and holds parties for charity to benefit the the community. He does not open his garages to the public other than personnel charities and occasional local car clubs.
  23. Bob, I can't imagine being put in that position. Did I hit the lotto? I would have to say if it were one & only one out of Ken’s collection? 959. It came out when I was still living in Germany (1984) and I viewed it at the Frankfurt International Auto Show. They had a cutaway and the full blown model on a revolving carousel. Needless to say it was tight getting a view. Those Germans can be pushy. I just held out my right arm and forearmed everyone with my ex-wife to get to the front… I never did get to the cutaway. Wife didn't hold up... It was the cat’s ass then and I don't think it has changed. Like an idiot I was looking at a Saab 9000 and bought an 84 900 turbo S at the show. Sure wish I was into exotics back then. Hell, wish I was into BMW speed back then. Sorry for the lame photos. I had to dig up an old album and I did not have digital back then. These are pics of pics with the rounded corners. SAAB Check out the conrad that sold it to me with the cig in his hand. Funny the weird things you remember...
  24. PugPutz, Yes, unbelievable was an understatement to say the least. I was in awe when I was driving home. Harry, I know you have some beauties & Local shots to show us from there.
  25. J.G. I knew you would get off on this. I have your address. I will send you a couple of disks when I get done editing all this footage. I'm serious. I took a bunch of digital cameras and bought a digital camcorder on the way down there for the viewing. Will contact soon.
