  1. Steve, it was at the last cars and coffee wasn’t it?
  2. sorry, they’re both reserved for my projects!
  3. this place is legit. Old school San Jose hold out
  4. "What do you do?". And more often than not I would tell them that I herd sheep or that I'm a plumber from Pacoima, a suburb of town that is waaaaay on the far side across the tracks.” I love when people ask that question. Because most people’s immediate thought is to respond with what they do for work, but I do a lot of other things outside my job. So I usually respond with “ I like to work on cars, ride my bike, backpack etc! “ there is a line in fight club that always comes to mind and it’s “ You are not your job, you're not how much money you have in the bank. You are not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You are not your fucking khakis” I try and stay away from the Porsche crowd ?
  5. It’s based on county and population density. El dorado and placer county fall in the no smog category. My wife is from north Lake Tahoe and still has her car registered at her parents house in Carnelian bay. She’s never had to take it through smog.
  6. Pretty sure you don’t have to smog cars up in tahoe.
  7. Meh, a bunch of us go to legends of the autobahn every year at Monterey car week and have a hell of a time. I love parking my slammed “Crusty” patina’d car next to concourse ones. 2 years back I scraped a big ol divot out of the fairway dragging my headers haha. You’ve got snooty folks in blazers and you’ve also got 15-20 of us rockin t-shirts sitting in camp chairs with a cooler full of beers ? ?
  8. 200 or so a piece. Maybe more if all the glass and door hardware is there
  9. Maybe a couple hundred bucks each...
  10. Same with these. Give away or scrap the aluminum
  11. the e30 m10 is stock other than the 38/38 Weber and headers. The original has a 292 schrick, valves and bigger pistons. It’ll remain pretty much the same build but realistically I won’t be putting that motor together for quite some time. I’ve got another project that needs to get finished before. We’re moving in sept and I’d like this to somewhat resemble a car before I haul it across 3 states! ?
  12. Swapping an e30 m10 into crusty as a temporary motor so I can rebuild the other one.
