  3. somthing is draining the battery when its just sitting so you have too put and ohm meter on and see how much its drawing .then start pulling fuses and see if it goes down if not it could be a diode in the alt so unhook the alt and see if it changes on the ohm meter . wiring can be a big PITA but its just prosess of elimination

  9. heres what you need it cost me about 500 and thats parts only you can save about 150 $ if you use VW non vented rotors parts list : 2 wilwood dynalite calipers 250$ set of brake pads 50$ 2 dynalite mounting brackets (speedway) 20$ 1989 VW jetta GLI rotors vented 256x20mm 150$ piece of 1/4" plate steel 5"x 5" and a 2 5/8" hole saw . the mounting bracket is for a rear end with a 3" tube and a 11.75" rotor so the mounting hole (2 5/8") has to be moved up about 3/4"or i moved mine 0.710 . drill a 2 5/8 hole in the center of the 1/4 plate then cut it in half so one for each side .drill mounting holes weld it up and bingo . if had to do it again i think i'd spend another 100 and buy lee's brake setup
  10. i have a pedal box if you want one 25$
  11. what size are brake line fitting are they 10x1.25mm ??? the fitting in the back of the wilwood caliper is 1/8 27 NPT so i need to get an adapter . the good thing so far is the caliper feed is in the same place as the 02 brake cylinder
  12. i'am using VW jetta GLI front rotors 256x20mm vented and cross drilled those are 150$ two wilwood dynalite calipers and pads thats another 300$ i have to make my own brackets thats free but takes time and machine the hubs plus make lines to fit .by the time i'am done i'am sure i'll have 600$ plus in this setup .so dave varcos setup is'nt a bad price plus i don't think you realy what to 1/2ass your brakes .heres pics i just ordered my caplipers last night more pics this weekend

Lee thanks for the help .i have all those tools i just did'nt want to brake something . i got some help and i heated it up with the torch then with the braker bar and four foot pipe it moved .i also got the hubs off so i can machine about 8mm to get them to inside the VW rotor .this rotor in the pic is for mock up only i'am going to use VW GLI 256x20mm vented and cross drilled rotors .not sure what caliper yet
