  1. I have some of the gold ones in my garage as well. I may have to do something similar and see how it looks. Yours look nice.
  2. Being an ex-rally guy myself I like it a lot. Now have some fun with it and keep the ditch hooking to a minimum. Gary
  3. If your buying it for an investment you want the numbers to match. If your buying it to drive and enjoy it may not matter. Just don't pay a collectors price for it.
  4. Can't you get a trubo for close to that price. Wow.
  5. I've got a tii version of the same thing in my garage. Just waiting for more money to progress further. Wish I had thought of the name as it is truly fitting. Gary
  6. Thanks everyone. I contacted the seller about separating the tires from the wheels (since 205's just were not going to work) but he isn't too interested in that so I'll pass on these. Gary
  7. I found a set of BBS wheels for sale, 14x6.5 with 205x55x14 Toyo's. They are basketweaves but not exactly sure what type. I did a search but couldn't find definitive info on whether they would fit or not. Not sure on offset either but the measurement from the back lip to the center is 4.75". He thought they came off a BMW originally. Gary
  8. What type of racing? I'm assuming its for track days since it doesn't sound like you have a cage. Four point harnesses are good for holding you in your seat but do not help with submarining. If submarining is a possibility then go with the five point. Also if you can mount them so that the harness will not compress your spine in an impact that is the best. I come from the rally world and our dangers are different than those at a track. I'm sure many track people here will be more help. Gary
  9. As noted each state is different but if you look at a rally car as an example they need to be street legal and many have lexan windows and fuel cells. In almost all cases lexan can be used everywhere except the windshield. I've never seen an issue with a fuel cell barring a vehicle form being considered street legal. In some states a cage creates issues due to the fact you can hit your head on it but most are OK as long as it is properly padded. Also I know some people who have competition belts but also keep the belts that came standard just to make the DMV happy. Its a dance but it can be made to work. Gary

If anyone backs out please let me know. Gary
  11. I live in Vermont. I do not know Rick or the cars though. Gary
  12. My car will not be done either so I'm not sure if I will make the trip. Hopefully next year. Gary
  13. Yes those 02's have been there for years. They are south of Stowe so that's probably why you missed them Pat. Gary
  14. What is the popular set up for track use? 13", 14" or 15" wheels? This isn't for a full fledged racer but for club track days and autox. Thanks.
  15. Was pretty cool for us racer wannabes as well. Thanks for sharing. Gary
  16. Cool . . . I think I actually get it. Thank you Steve.
  17. Could I get an example on how the calculation for the offset would work? Lets say with a 15 x 6 wheel.
  18. Does anyone have this information already? I can never remember what offset is required on a 14" or 15" wheel on a car without flares. I'm sure others could use the same info for cars with flares. Thanks. Gary
  19. No nasty spiders here, it's too cold. We only have to fight off the metal bug aka rust.
  20. With an ET12 you would need flares to run them on an '02, right?
  21. Many rallies do not allow GPS so I'm not sure if that defeats your purpose.
  22. Seeing that I love rally cars this is a particularly nice one to see.
