Wow-

last I looked into it, it was $3500-ish, but availability was not always

immediate.

I guess that was a while ago...

t

Like last century!!!!

And I can tell you $6,500 is low if you expect to get a factory engine. If you read the page that cost is for a short block!!

75 2002: weber, ANSA, lowered, 14" wheels, new engine, new suspension, rust free & square.

"You could get a really nice motor built for way less than that"

no you can't ! not with a 2-year/Unlimited mile BMW Part Warranty

Coverage you cant. Go with a " Long Block " , not "Short" .

Hi there,

Let me clear up the confusion. That price is for a BMW reman engine complete from valve cover to oil pan.

Just bolt in and a way you go.

Thanks,

Max

Which Price? Including carb, intake, dizzy, how do I just bolt in and go?The site clearly states "Short Engine" but then reffers to the "E12" so obviously comes with a head.

"you really COULD build a nice motor for less than that!"

Bottom end machining $1500

Bottom end parts $1500

Top end machining $900

Top end parts $ 600

and that was with nice pistons, balancing, porting...

but you know, it's always what you want to do...
