engine and drivetrain Factory Rebuild

Is it possible to by a "factory rebuilt" engine from BMW? I would like to buy a replacement "long block" for my 2002 tii, does BMW sell such items?

And I can tell you $6,500 is low if you expect to get a factory engine. If you read the page that cost is for a short block!!

no you can't ! not with a 2-year/Unlimited mile BMW Part Warranty

Coverage you cant. Go with a " Long Block " , not "Short" .

It's been about 5 years, but I got a 9.3:1 c.r. factory crate motor from them for around $3500. That's for a complete motor -all I added was the starter and alternator.

Which Price? Including carb, intake, dizzy, how do I just bolt in and go?The site clearly states "Short Engine" but then reffers to the "E12" so obviously comes with a head.

and that was with nice pistons, balancing, porting...

but you know, it's always what you want to do...
