So is standard Hockey tape friction tape? I have access to free Hockey tape, and was just curious, because if it's different I'd feel like an idiot wrapping my wiring in hockey tape.

i cant speak for fernando but hockey tape works way better than the friction tape with the adhesive. that stuff will leave a black gooey mess on everything it touches. i did my harness in sticky friction tape and then redid the whole thing once i learned. perhaps theres friction tape that isnt gooey but the stuff i used sucked.

First off, your work looks very clean. It's funny, I just got in from 90 minutes of pulling old friction tape off my harness and my hands are covered in sticky crap. I'm rewrapping with hockey tape.
