when i got my car it had some cheap stick on crap the po had put on. to be correct the lower moulding wasnt an option until i believe 72 but im not 100% on that. i added it after the fact.

good to see someone doing it...i want to add the lower trim to my 69...i think it looks nicer with it...are you going to add the piece on the rear 1/4's

i can always point to you as a genuine enthusiast that did it, when people bust by boobs about hacking my 69

BTW...nice ride dude

i have the 2 rear pieces here and ive taped them in place. it just looks a little too cluttered to me. i know ill take some shit because a lot of hard core early guys love the wide open space between the beltline and the ground but i like the contrast the knee moulding gives it. altho, when i first put it on and saw it (in picture below) i didnt like it and thought i had made a mistake. but the more black i add to the car the better it looks and im either used to it or it really does look good. theres a whole bunch of stuff on my car that doesnt belong but i built it the way i like it. ive always been more of a "peoples choice" kinda guy rather than a "concours" guy

Hey Blunt, I've got a short bumpered 02 in the shop right now, with lower mouldings on it. It's actually a 75, but he taped the rear mouldings to the quarter. It looks odd. I can take a pic if you like.

Al

yeah, i did the same thing before drilling and i didnt like it. so its staying like it is. thanks though

Good call. Other problem with this one is, the tape isn't holding too well. I see us removing it, and then polishing the tape goo off it afterwards.

It does look kinda out of place. I had second thoughts after I installed the shorty bumper on my squarie. I am leaving the ones on my car until i can get some bodywork done, maybe sometime in '07 (unfortunately the E39 launched its auto tranny yesterday, so that sets everything back).

Your car is looking great, Blunt!
