  1. Good luck with this. See my post back on page 4. Your offer does provide more options than mine.
  2. I won tickets to HH Concours from Classic Motorsports recently. I'm going but the people around here that I've offered the trip to have to work that weekend, or are gonna be out of the country, out of the state or out of their mind. I'm going but I still have a general admission ticket for Saturday & Sunday (includes admission to Legends of the Autobahn, Aero Expo & After Party and tickets to the Patrons Lounge for Saturday and Sunday. If one of you wants to go, tickets are on me. There are different scenarios for this. 1. I mail you the tickets, you don't get a parking pass but I'd guess you can walk, Uber, or whatever to get there. 2.We meet somewhere near the Port Royal Golf Club and you ride with me to the parking area & we take the shuttle to the Concours. 3.I have a room at HI Express Bluffton for Friday & Saturday nite. I'll leave eastern NC around 11-noon Friday & take I-95 to Bluffton. That should get me there around 6pm at the latest. If you want to share the room, that's possible. If you want to ride with me, I could pick you up somewhere on I-95 on the way. I'll be driving a C8 Corvette,so if we ride together, don't pack a steamer trunk. I'll be leaving Hilton Head no later than 4 pm Sunday to return home. However we do this, tickets are gratis. If you share my room, some help with that expense would be appreciated. I don't know where I'll eat Friday and Saturday night, but I intend to eat well. If we're together, be prepared for that. I'm past retirement age (nearly as old as Mike Self), and not one to stay out late and raise hell. If you have to have the TV on in the room all the time, you'd not be a good person to share a room with me. I think I'm fairly easy to get along with, although wife would contest that statement. . Wednesday before that weekend, I'll check weather forecast for the weekend. If it's rotten, I'll cancel. If I cancel, I could overnight you 2 tickets and a parking pass if you'd like. I'll let this offer stand for a few days. If more than one of you want to accept it, I'll put names in a hat and draw one. If you want to discuss further, the best way would probably be to email me at bobthomas18AThotmail or call or text me at twohundred fifty two, three hundred sixty three, thirteen, eighty-three.
  3. you can find lots of discussion (some of it pretty useful) on the Garage Journal Forum.
  4. Small tube of KY jelly. it's a good lube, especially for radiator hoses & such.
  5. That HF light is a nice piece. I bought one last winter and like it a lot.
  6. You mentioned the possibility of using dynamat. A good alternative is rammat. It seems to be the same thing & costs less too. Rammat also has other sound deadening products. Used it on the M2 & it made a significant improvement.
  7. Good point jp5Touring. As a wise person once said "You can sleep in your car but you can't drive your house."
  8. I did exactly as Mike did & was pleased with appearance & functionality. I don't recall where I purchased the pod.
  9. My son's is about 1 hp per 10 lbs. too, with the a/c. The new driver probably weighs around 50 lbs. less than I do. As I've said before, living in eastern NC, you can have my a/c when you pry it from my cold dead hands. Yep, I handed it over today. Also met son's beautiful new girlfriend. She's prettier than the car. I expect son will post pics (of car, not gf) within a few days.
  10. He spun a crankshaft bearing about a month after I got it & I only beat him a little cause that gave me an excuse to have Henry Lawrence rebuild the motor and after that it has 214 wHP. I'm not so sure mine is nicer than Ray's, inverse is probably true.
  11. Selling it to my son. He's wanted it since I bought it 13 years ago & it's time to pass the torch. I'll still be lurking here in case I can occasionally contribute something useful.
  12. Seems that long ago I saw mention of Ford Pinto air filters working well with Weber carb & using Pinto filter & housing looked somewhat similar to OE.
  13. I live in eastern NC & you can have my AC when you pry it from my cold dead hands.
  14. I'm running 15" wheels & a 13" spare with my volvo brake upgade. I've had 2 flats on the front over the 15 years I've owned the car & the spare won't fit over the brakes up front so I get to play "musical wheels" when I have a flat.
  15. In 1975 I drove my Riviera '02 into a utility pole at about 50 mph. Does that count?
  16. Don't know if Mike Pugh here at 2002faq does PPIs but he's probably 15 miles closer to Fayetteville & certainly knows '02s.
  17. They're 80 miles from Fayetteville, but Shade Tree Garage in Raleigh would be a good choice.
  18. I'll leave suggestions for cleaning out the rust to others. My cars previous owner treated my car with POR-15 gas tank rust treatment over 15 years ago & I've had no problems.
  19. There's pretty good heat shield material on the underside of lots of junkyard cars.
  20. Glad to hear you're doing as well as you are. Sounds like you're on the way to a essentially complete recovery. Hang in thar.
  21. That looks like it'd work. I'll need piece in hand or to find someone with 3d printer. Ray and I share the same badging "problem".
