Odd washer on main bearing cap?

I Was re-installing my crankshaft with new main bearings yesterday and noticed I had one washer different than all the others (see pictured).  It was on bearing cap 4 and looked like it had a rubber material on it.  All of the others were standard wave washers.  Considering replacing it with a wave washer like the others but wanted to make sure there wasn't a purpose for it to be there first.

That washer is in "your friends and their mechanical ability" category.

yeah- that's a seal, not a washer.

It will cause nothing but heartache and holes in the block.

That's what I figured.  But couldn't find the diagram on RealOEM and did not want to make the mistake of swapping it out if it was supposed to be there.  Thanks guys.

Given that there's something very much like it

on one of the distributor housing bolts,

I can see how it wouldn't hurt to ask. 

But no. 

It is an error, not a necessity.

You want all those bolts to have the flat ground hardened washers

OEM calls for a plane wave washer for the main caps the hardened washers are used with head bolts, here a picture from OEM.
