Hi,

Has anyone here had first hand experience with the quality of the M10 Sherryberg manifolds available on Aliexpress to suit DCOE carbs?

I am looking to install twin 45s to mine and accept that there will be port matching and enlarging reqd. I am more interesred in how accurate the mating holes are machined.

Thanks

karl

Huh- the link didn't pop up an intake manifold.... but now I wanna rip the EFI off the 122 and stick some $120 DCOEs on it!

I think you'll have to be the guinea pig here, Karl.  These things come and go with

amazing speed, so as they say, 'ya pays yer moneys and ya takes yer chances!'

At the prices listed for other things, I'd say it depends on your ability to clean up the mess

that the parts have on them.  If they faithfully stole the design from a good manifold,

they could be pretty painless.  If they were sloppy with machining, you might end up having

to reface them to get the angles right/the same.

I sometimes buy things like this to gamble on them- "The worst that can happen is I'm out $100,

but the BEST that can happen is that I get a fun challenge to recut the mounting faces, weld up and

redrill the holes, and clean out all the casting flash.  WooHoo!!!"

Sometimes it's a bit of a letdown when the part just bolts up and works...

Anyway, sure, the manifolds are going to be wearing their faults on the outside, so why not?

The carbs, no, those have the potential to inflict lots of pain and damage, in ways that

can't be predicted.

Yeah, URL is bad, but the front part of it (up to the “.html”) works.

Pretty sure that water hose pipe connection is not for DCOEs.. Nice intake length, but it may pose an issue if you don’t have tii booster.  The casting/machining doesn’t look too bad…

Sherryberg have been around for quite a few years, they make ignition parts and carburettors mainly, but also throttle bodies and manifolds. I have used their ignition parts on various cars with no complaints, the carbs look well made...someone needs to try, a pioneer will to risk everything for the glory of success 🙂 = @kko110

Having had a 'sub- optimal' experience with a Spanish Weber once,

I'd be very hesitant to slap a set of Chinese- sourced Weber copies on and go.

Plus, if one's good, there's no guarantee that the next will be...

Now, as a science experiment, why the heck not, eh?

The myriad of throttle body configurations is tempting, I must admit...

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,
