loud clunking from rear on fast right turns

The exhaust does hit the underbody near the CSB. There are marks there and I can shake the exhaust to get it to hit. Don't know why it would only do that on right turns though.

Look at how your engine sits in the bay...  and where the engine mounts are...

Grab the engine and really shove on it.  Floppy engine mounts just make this more likely.

Personally, I'd fix the exhaust before I got even remotely excited about anything else.

The inserts in the exhaust hangers make a big difference.

As to diff spiders, they can be galled pretty abysmally before you hear anything,

and what you'll hear is more like a grating/grinding/rhythmic growling than anything else.

They were revamped several times in the 2002's lifetime, and each iteration got better

geometry and metallurgy.  They're about the only thing on the 2002 driveline that's

remotely overstressed, and with a modern high pressure lube, usually hold up OK

unless run dry, or severely overheated with lots of wheelspin.
