Turn signal interferes with fuel gauge

Remember that those grounds are at least 46 years old--more than enough time to accumulate lots of corrosion.  Who on the FAQ carefully cleans all their grounds every couple of years--nope, we wait till something gets wonky.  And those gauges use so little current that the smallest amount of corrosion will cause misbehaving...

 

Next time you have your cooling system drained, remove the temp gauge sender unit, clean the sender's brass threads and the water manifold's aluminum threads and reinstall--no teflon tape or pipe dope, please.  Those threads are the sender's ground.
