Rear spring alignment

Put the jack under the brake drum and raise the suspension to running height, how does it sit now? Your going to eventually find new rings and fitting them is just a matter of unbolting the rear shock and letting the arm drop until the spring is loose and switch the ring out.

If everybody in the room is thinking the same thing, then someone is not thinking.

Removed a rear tire to inspect it and noticed that the spring has moved off its pad (and the pad is split). Pads seem in short supply. Is there an easy way to get the spring to sit on the pad without removing everything?

Do you know if coil springs are original or lowering/ aftermarket ones? New pads will eventually end up to be similar to the existing ones. I will be looking for root cause. I am guessing they are aftermarket. Try to flip the coil spring see they seat better in the perch.
