I saw this on the 2002 Owners Australia Facebook page and it has generated a lot of interest, particularly as new RHD steering box internals are now effectively non-existant.

 

I have a worn, but otherwise good serviceable box that would perfect for this conversion.

Considerable information on the thread below: Also information on the modifications needed to the standard box to accommodate a quick ratio kit. However, I have yet to hear of anyone installing a Ventas quick ratio kit in the standard box. Will look forward to that.

 

Just completed a group buy of standard internals for folks in the Midwest but kept it small as I have a day job. Good of Tomorrowcaling for his offer. FYI, this is the same box that W&N sells for $600/$650.

I would be interested in a LHD kit for sure.  I would likely get two, because I want to be that guy to offer this as NOS 20 years from now.   This very subject has been discussed a lot, but nobody (including me) did anything about it as far as I can tell. 

 

Expect to have a lot of questions about rockwell hardness  and perhaps  for some of the more sophisticicatedified (  ) folks will look for lab test results.

Ireland Engineering will be now organizing the manufacture and sale of the RHD kits.   It's going to be at least 4 weeks before they're available so keep an eye on Jeff's website for further announcements
