Isn't your motor standing up straight or is it an an angle?

I'm not qualified to answer your questions.  I was simply providing some links.  KEP can do custom applications.  I had one of their pressure plates in my 71 VW.

E36 has a pilot bearing attached to the flywheel.
The E36 flywheel solves the problem of the input shaft being shortened by the adapter plate.
Although not attached, the bolt circle of the flywheel and the crankshaft was the same.

I had one welded up locally for about $300.  But  I had

hours and hours into it afterwards to machine it.  Indexing

the trans to the engine is not HARD, it just takes time.

 

The detachable auto bell centers on a T5- it needs a spacer/adaptor for length,

but that isn't particularly daunting as it's concentric, and not all that big in diameter.

The T5 uses the same spline as BMW does, so the friction plate fits.

 

The t9 ratios are good- but availability in the US was limited 10 years ago when I went looking at this.

Can't imagine it has gotten better...

Mine is straight up but I also have an adapter to run it in the stock configuration.

 

basically there is an adapter plate that is sandwiched between the BMW bell housing and the transmission.
