hi where are you guys located, how long is the installation done by you guys. I'm in NYC and if its feasible id send you my car.i have an original behr unit which has a bad heater blower fan. id be willing to ship my car to you .

So does this kit also make use of the defrost vent on the dash? Very interested in buying a kit. I will definitely pm you with some questions after I wake up. Also what about car overheating, have any customers had any issues. My 2002 runs pretty good right now just don't want to start having issues.

yes, unit connects to existing defrost, has electronic vent valve to control amount of air to AC vents / defrost.... have built about 50 of these units installed 2 dozen.  Work perfectly

 

If you actually analyze cost to rebuild stock heater box, Behr fan motor, brass valve, repair plastic mounts etc. then get into refurb of factor AC unit, expansion valve, switches etc.    This new unit much less cost and long term easy to service, all new parts available etc.

And you can add the turbo honda motor too, and 22 inch tires , it ends up like the m5 engine in the 2002, if you want modern  by a modern bmw, the market is looking for original  cars,  Bruce M-tuner

JJvaz,  have gotten unit in hands of several 2002 owners and a half dozen or so that use the faq

 

We build 2002's (have done several hundred complete builds).   Since we created this system have largely moved away from repairing old heater box and retrofitting orig dealer installed AC evaporator.   So I think we have personally installed this system in 20 2002's.  Even a few folks have shipped us their car for the install.    Very happy folks... if you want to call use 214 352 0868 happy to put you in touch with folks who have the system.    It works our really well.   

 

Literally took 7 years to design test build system and after repairing, installing probably 150 original HVAC systems in 2002's and dozen in other classic cars.    

 

This system gives you an orig look but completely modern, easily serviceable inside heat, ac evaporator unit.   

 

We know offer a series of upgrades to the kit.   Upgraded leather, french stitch in contrasting color console, flat panel touch screen stereo / blue tooth systems installed and an AC bracket that will work on all types of M10 engines

OK, So I will be tackling the interior shortly and my 2 pc dash just went out . Tell me about this "upgrade"... my charging system is upgraded and uses a seperate box for all modern power equipmemt supply. what should I expect 10 amp each? 20? My car has several mods so as I do not have an a/c system is there a package compressor unit as well... How well will that system cool in an area like Phoenix because I do spend a great deal of time there

We also have numerous options for new console in leather, custom contrasting double stitch in various colors, can fit with new stereos and mount stereo in face plate, layout new controls.    Base kit comes black vinyl and lets you layout the controls and mount your emergency flasher where you like.    For small fee will will layout as you see in the pictures as have found controls as such look good and we put heat and vent controls in original location.  Provide a plate custom fitted to the location

here is an upgrade to console with custom french stitch a bit higher quality look.  Base unit is good with black stitch.  Both are great but for those looking to setup interior of car this is nice.

here is a custom designed ac compressor bracket that works on all M10 engines.  The Hobbie Dave bracket is great but WILL NOT work on the early M10 blocks.  I think up to 71 as do not have the top mounting holes in block.  This bracket works on all blocks and works with a and adjustable tensioner that is in our experience preferable
