This must be a joke.......this POS is from BC. it was listed on CL a month ago for 12K (CDN) by  a rather shady SB. Do not be fooled by the ad.

I guess since the car was moved from Vancouver its turned into a numbers matching TTI oh..... or is it a Tii?????

I can't see a dash clock peeking out, the rear badge doesn't say tii, and the rims appear more 4.5" than 5" to me, so I suspect there are no reasons it should be a tii. And it's obviously not a TTI!

It will find a home with some buyer who isn't a member of the forum!

Steve

At the risk of beating this to death, I just spoke to the owner of the car (in Vancouver) and the car is in his shop. The same shop that appears in this Vegas CL ad.  Is there a shell game being played here???

......would love to speak to the owner in Henderson to get his spin on this car.

I'll bet, Mike, that the person that can be reached through the Craig's List ad would be willing to "hold" the car for you -- and for anyone and everyone, for that matter -- if you just send him $1,000 via Western Union. His PayPal account, no doubt, is not working presently!

Best regards,

Steve

Rather than watch TV this rainy afternoon I just might give it a try......

For all the expertise on here, I must say there is a fair amount of lack of knowledge when it comes to the tti. Let me just re-educate everyone on what a special car it is.

Much like the famed and elusive car Johnny Cash sang about in his famous song, the tti was in production from 1968-1974; that is to say it took that many years for them to produce a total of five.  Remarkably, all five are currently for sale on the internet.  Lucky for us!  And, the reality is they are of course nothing like the porsche 911 or 356.  Indeed they are much rarer and hard to come by.  Anyone can find an ordinary, original 1972 2002tii, but to find one in molested, mashed together one off of six production years combined is a true feat.  Again, lucky for all of us they are all for sale on the internet at the same time!  Take advantage people!

exciting times!

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
