Mine was pre-soldered...

But if you haven't bought yet the after purchase service isn't great.

I sent questions and don't get answers. I even mentioned that I would buy another if there was an issue... nothing.

It seems the sensor makes a intermittent distortion on the speakers (heard when music is very low or nothing playing) at the same time the voltage drops when this happens. It's a pattern... 2 seconds nothing, 1 second voltage drop/interference and repeat.

I think it's the o2 sensor or board because when I cut power (to it), it stops.

Anyone else?

Could it be that you're just low on power? Sensor heating pulls power and your battery voltage drops causing issue with radio. I would try charging the battery and check alternator voltage.

That one doesn’t plug into the harness supplied with gauge/board. Not that a little extra wiring really matters.

Well... it did when I bought it.

?

Thanks Tommy.

Interesting. Did you take the power to the lambda anywhere near radio? Like from the same fuse or same feeding wire? If yes, you could try run it straight from the battery. 13V charging voltage is low though...

The plug on the sensors are different from the earlier Bosch WB sensor that needs air calib from the later 4.9 version that doesn't need free air calib to avoid interchange because one won't work where the other is specified.

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

thanks for your input All, I ran 18 gauge wire to power and ground then I spliced soldered and shrink wrapped the the display in.

Did I mention what a pain I thought it was to micro solder the wires to the board?

progress made:

Question for you guys...

I had also installed the digital display my fasten seatbelt pod.

Do you guys know if I would be able to run a different wideband kit (like AEM) and wire the digital gauge to work?

Crazy question?

Thanks,

Anthony

AFR latest version all modded and installed
All in all including trips to AutoZone for wire and switch I would call this job about 6+ hours, it doesn’t look like it but it takes a while to do the micro soldering, running the wires, getting the Bung installed and everything else.

realestically this is a multi day project because of the steps required

Even though our cars are over 40 years old it seems a little crazy to try to tune them off the spark plug still, I installed an Air Fuel Ratio gauge so I can tune my freeway cruising and WOT fuel ratio in the ballpark of something legitimate

I also read the post on the FAQ that they an on/off switch is nice since you don’t always want to see the numbers flickering on the dash, at Jason Gipson suggestion I added a small switch into the hole Kooglewerks already drilled into the panel

Question

I just recieved a couple of these. They are unsoldered. Is this really micro soldering, or can I pull this off without specialty tools? Everything I read on that search engine is about repairing board trails.

Thanks!
