Gauges that complement the 2002 instruments

Thinking about buying some gauges for beneath my radio at the base of my console. Is There a line of gauges that fits in well with the stock speedo and tach and looks period correct?

Head over to egauges.com and check out their VDO selection. I think they are as close to matching OE gauges as you will find, especially for the price.

If you have an "02 with the seat belt warning light atop the dash...find a gauge pod to fit in its place. Much better gauge location, as you don't have to take your eyes off the road to look at 'em.

You can fasten the gauge pod to the existing mounting holes in the dash, and feed the wires through the large hole under the seat belt sign...

I've been enjoying mine set up that way since about 1987...

VDO gauges I believe they were the Vision series, bought some years ago. White pointers match the OEM gauges, back lit and gauges are labeled as to their function.

Just another option. For those of us with the older, 'silver dollar' gauges a better match would be the Series 1 from VDO. They have white letters and dials. I'm planning to use a few for my project.

cheap: find a VW Cabriolet from the late eighties in a junkyard, some of them had the three VDO guages in the console, they look just right
