Autozone trim on my 1600

Back to the trim - can existing trim be saved or does it typically get buggered up when being removed? Dents removable or are you typically into replacement mode if it has dings and dents etc...

Barney uses a metal polisher here in Austin for most all his car's trim.  Most shops like that will try to remove major dents.  The trim comes back brightly polished...but this removes the anodized coating; so, you must wax the trim to maintain the bright finish. I think Barney pays about 1/2 what the new sets cost.  Results are good.
