  1. What did you use for grommets that support the flap rods?
  2. Re-posting this video and wishing everyone a holly jolly Christmas alongside your loved ones. https://vimeo.com/197044649
  3. I went with realoem search and it showed April 72 but I guess they either plated mid year 71 cars in 72 or realoem is realwrong [emoji1]
  4. I thought the Euro Ti ended in April 72. This guy is restoring what he claim to be a 1973 Ti Schnitzer with certificate of authority! Twin webers, exhaust manifold upgrade and boom, you now have 220hp. Pay him €130,000.00 if you're interested . [emoji1] http://www.preussler.at/bmw-2002-ti-original-schnitzer-rennwagen/
  5. I have the 3 piece 15" Ronal Turbos in storage that I'm planning to restore and use when my car is ready. Here is a set of the exact 3 piece currently for sale but this one is 13" set.
  6. Thanks but I'm after the buttons for older model chrome face plates not the ones came with later US face plates. I don't have any side mirror yet. Mirrors come at the end of my restoration. Contact Vintage Autobahn if you're after mirror nuts. They should have that in stock.
  7. Sorry I've never seen these in any 02s, what are these?

  9. But Yoda says, "putting price on your life, you may not" [emoji1]
  10. general rule, if it's too good to be true, then its not!
  11. Would the E24 633/635 CSI 77-87 models be compatible for use in my car? I know that it needs to be shaved, just want to ensure its from the right model/year E24.
  12. I'll take the tii version when you make more
  13. Nice, I know this is a trial run but for the final mould, just make sure you get the orange and clear portion right. The clear portion seems to be larger than the orange section in the genuine Italian style.
  14. This roundel that I bought had old paint. I used pure acetone to remove old paint and it came right off to bare shiny metal. I was thinking of polishing the metal and use it without the paint but after test fitting it something didn't look right, so I went with original painted look.
  15. I went ahead and bought a spare used metal roundel from eBay Germany for restoration practice. After speaking with a few hobby shops specialised in model airplanes, I was told to use Mr Color lacquer paint then use two coats of uv protective clear (lacquer). These paints are made for outdoors. I also bought lacquer thinner based on the instructions I read here but after using the first colour, I realised there was no need for thinner. Mr Color paints are made for a smooth surface finish and they are premixed with thinner. Here are the items I bought and they are available in US. (All products are made in Japan). Paint code numbers are visible. Photo here is taken before applying the clear coats. Great results. [emoji482]
  16. What's the seal made of? Here in Australia we have Clark Rubber and they can make you any kind of seal. You could also try gasket seal paste or 3M automotive sealant. Also, did you order euro headlight gaskets or US?
  17. Not sure. Are those seals identical or made for left & right? Maybe someone more experienced could suggest a method.
  18. Could try a Dremel cutter to cut away the aluminium piece by piece.
  19. By flat you mean euro style? Are these separated from the chrome housing or still attached? Tsingtao could use one or I can have it 3D scanned to CAD. Once the mould is made, you could use transparent polymer and uv treated ABS materials.
