Hello, My car without a filter housing for the air intake. The carb throat is open to air. Anyone have a complete assembly for sale and can recommend any after market remedies to this issue? THanks, Eamon

Steve, Good guess! Here is what Julia Oberndörfer from BMW Archives wrote me: The BMW 1600 US VIN 1571242 was manufactured on April 08th, 1970 and delivered on April 17th, 1970 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City. The original colour was Chamonix, paint code 085. -
