  1. Ken, I am the Ops. Mgr for our company and the owner wanted a car that he bought in Bend brought up to Lake Stevens,WA and FedEx wanted 1300 bucks for it. We have an account with them and spend quite a bit with them, and they would not budge on price. Shop around, ask Bill Williams. But make sure they are insured and ask for a copy of the insurance certificate to make sure they are currently covered with cargo liability. HTH Russ
  2. Probably just added the TI badge or bought it that way and knows no better I would bet. Maybe it was an auto car that was converted to stick? Russ
  3. I have a set of e21 headlights that are very nice that the PO included with the grills. Nice Hellas! We shall see how they turn out. Cahsels as I recall are pretty pricey Dave, I think I inquired and they were over 250 euros. Russ
  4. I believe they are Alpina, but I could be wrong. I just saw one set just sell on Ebay Germany for 302 euros. About 412 dollars. Russ
  5. Nice looking car Vince, wish I had some cash laying around, that would be a greatt starter car for my 13 year old. What color is that? Russ
  6. Norm, Is that the one made of metal? It seems like too good a deal! haha Russ
  7. Dave out of curiosity, what are the Jet numbers? thanks, Russ
  8. Donk da donk donk donk....that should be outlawed! Even my son in Jr High laughs at those guys. Probably no scrape on the speed bumps though.
  9. Great post! Just the reason I find ways to ask my 13 year old for "help" working on the car, and thankful that when my 20 year old moved out he wrote me a letter saying thanks for all I have taught him. See all the things that cars do for us! Russ
  10. These are the things that keep us going on our project. Russ
  11. Eric, I will send my kids over and that will shoot you straight to the garage! Seriously, I have my car in about the same state. I find it helpful to make a list of all that you can think of that needs to be done. Pick the smallest thing and do it, scratch it off the list. move on to the next smallest thing. The next thing you will know you have a motor back together, carbs that just came in, a clutch to find...etc. Also put a beer fridge in the garage! it helps! Good luck! just don't forget what it feels like to go burning thru some country road with what seems to be your hair on fire! (or at least a few good twisty backroads!) Russ
  12. Welcome...and just remember one thing. The guest room is for guests and not storing extra seats, rims, headlights, boxes of misc parts according to my wife.... Russ
  13. Stock brake booster. That is what I was afraid of with a thicker filter. I saw the lynx ramflow, but they are big bucks from australia and I think the wife might not go for those. Thanks for the lead, Russ
  14. You mean because it might hit the hood or be to far over by the brake cylinder? thanks
  15. So tomorrow I hopefully will receive my 40's from Germany. I will need to get airfilters and want some advice/guidance on what is a good setup and not going to break the bank, yet keeping the crap out of the carbs. Any suggestions? Thanks much, Russ
  16. Steven, I might know someone looking for one if in good shape. I can shoot you his email, and I will tell him about it. Thanks, Russ russhewitt AT yahoo Dot com
  17. Pat, If you are using dual carbs(40's) would you recommend the 320 dipstick tube or the '02? Thanks Russ "newb"

  20. Richard, I too am converting to 40's after an engine rebuild this winter. Here is a bit of help/direction from Toby in Seattle. See the link. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,348374/highlight,/ It is Delta camshaft. My son lives near there so I can have him do mine, but they said that you can ship them a cam and for the money, I think Toby is bang on. They seem really easy to deal with too. http://deltacam.com/ HTH Russ
  21. Zac, Check your email. I sent you a part number for the one I have. does it match? Russ
