  1. Lime green or Lome green. Go Black, You will never go back! oh wait, that is not PC. Go Schwarz and aluminium! I pulled a blue block out of an old rust bucket we had and it just does not look right. Even the e39 looks black and aluminum. and yeah, get Esty, she has a good sense of style, I am all jacked up abut the carpet set she is making for me right this minute! or at least on the way soon.
  2. Well, Ebay has decided that I was right. thanks to you guys and Steve at Top End! Much appreciated! Now I send back and get my money back, and Steve gets an order. Russ
  3. Email me at: russhewitt AT yahoo dot com and and I have an extra. just cover the postage and it is yours. Russ
  4. I win, I win, I win, Ebay said it was a fake, DUH!!!! I have to send it back and now I can blast him with negative feedback!
  5. I don't know, but I like them. (Hey Toby, they should clear the "shock/strut tower" haha. Now, if anyone has a spare one, let me know please, I would like to have it. thanks, Russ
  6. Has anyone ever seen this wheel. Any idea what car it was on originally? Stamped "Intra", "13x6", "made in West Germany" And if so know anyone with an extra one. I would love to have a fifth. Russ
  7. Toby, don't hold your breath! haha. Heck my kids will tell you I am to old to spell "strut" or "shock". I just went back down to the garage as I have saved all the packing (which was shitty) and he has a FONTANA address. Not Lake Arrowhead as in the Ebay desc. He is not to far from Steve at Top End, since I sent Steve his address, maybe Steve will pay him a visit and see his welding skills up close. haha
  8. What a scumbucket! that is the third one this month he is trying to sell. See my post "BUYER BEWARE!!!" for more info. I talked to Steve at Top End on Friday afternoon and he is going to go after the guy with his Ebay Powerseller rep. Hopefully I will get my money back. I have a 13 year old that can weld better with our crappy Harbor Freight wire welder! Russ
  9. I have the 2000 e39 and 140k on the clock. The cooling system sucks! I just had the check engine light come on only to do a code read and find the thermostat is stuck open. Argh, the radiators are crappy, so I might as well do the whole shooting match. The trans though is pretty tough in mine. Many road trips, many need for speed adventures with my 2 sons. It is an auto and I must have gotten a good one. I also heard what Rob said about the fluid from an ex BMW mechanic. just leave it be till the trans dies and try to find wrecked one to harvest the trans from. But they are great cruising cars. HTH Russ
  10. Hey, I just realized my wife is as old as my 1970! Wow I wonder which one will age better? (ok, no one tell her I said that, or the beer fridge will be locked!) Boy does that open the door for a couple good jokes. Time for another beer!
  11. Bill is right, I had 3 of the 4 speeds I just sold. They are easy to get. (I sold mine for about 25 bucks each. HTH Russ
  12. Check with Steve Blunt. steve@blunttech.com
  13. I saw what the seller "twinflyingeagles" on Ebay had posted. (a copy of what TEP has on their website) this is so much fun. I talked to Steve at Top End today. He is going to look into on his end. Stay tuned!
  14. Well, I just ran to the garage and the holes are 1-1/2". No powdercoat. SO...two things. 1.Don't anyone buy any on ebay that are not real and can not be verified. 2.I reported to EBAY as well as TEP. Wonder if anything will come of it. Thanks guys for the help verifying! I have to say just being newer to the '02 community this is the best car forum out there. Thanks, Russ
  15. It looks like one, but the corners do not touch, the metal is bare and sharp. I wish I knew how big the holes are in the TEP one, and as well if all the welds are so bad on a TEP one. I can't wait to see what TEP replies to the email I sent.
  16. Thanks Dirk. Wow and even painted all over!
  17. Sorry, that is what he called it. It is the rear shock brace. Here are a couple other pics. Thanks, Russ
  18. Ok, So I thought I had ran across a good deal...BUT it is fake. I need your help in identifying the part. Here are some pics of what this guy is calling a "TOP END REAR STRUT BRACE" and selling on Ebay. If anyone has the real thing can you help me verify that your welds and fitment are not this crappy and that the whole unit is painted and no raw metal is exposed. So that when I contact Top End to let them know someone is fraudulently selling their parts I have some knowledge of what one actually looks like first hand. Thanks much! Russ
  19. Something like this might wake the neighbors... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HELLA-Trumpet-Horn-Set-Porsche-911-912-914-930-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem335e7310f1QQitemZ220627931377QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Russ
  20. I have a bunch of stuff that I got from a collection of '02 parts I bought. I want to unload all at once. Here is the craigslist link: http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/pts/1861717405.html I also have a set of 13" basketweaves in good shape there too. Here is the link: http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/pts/1861721205.html And a set of 15" tires as well. Here is that link: http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/pts/1861725618.html Thanks Steve for the "sell it all at once idea" Thanks for looking and if you are interested, just shoot me an email form Craigslist and put FAQ in the subject line. Russ p.s. I am about 25 miles east of Everett just off Hwy 2
  21. A bit off the subject, but I work for a company that imports many things, and we are pulling some of our business out of China and doing it here or Europe, or Thailand. The Chinese are going to revolt eventually and we will see the communist/free market commies go by the wayside hopefully. they have already promised the workers more money in some cases. It will be interesting to see how their govt reacts when the common worker wants more than a day or two off a month. Man I am glad I had relatives in 17** that came to this country!
  22. WOW, someone needs some anger management classes. I am a noob, and since my midlife crisis is a granada 1970 in my garage that is completely torn apart and I am going to teach myself how to rebuild it myself, I joined this site. As a NOOB (my son had to tell me what that was) I am glad there are so many people on here that are nice! AND helpful! I have already met 3 of them in the seattle area and Mr. angry eric, you need to shut your piehole! Respectfully, Russ
  23. I heard it was going to be the diesel. That way they can keep it running way past the life of the Ford Crown Vic or Dodge Charger. The article I saw was estimating 250k for each engine.
