  1. Try Performance Motorsports on Powell Blvd. Mike over there has a lot of experience with your conversion.
  2. The bumper idea is a good one. In Europe the "squares" had the bumpers that the mid 71-73's had and Turbo had the pre mid 71 "short" style. Always a great upgrade for the "Euro" look. Also adds additional value to your car. As for conversion to round tail lights I would suggest not. You will diminish the value of your car and it will cost more than it is worth to do. It will always be a "square" tail light car and to resell it maybe difficult for that reason. Of course this is a matter of taste and preference. After you do your conversion square tail light cars looks are very acceptable. The U.S. bumpers are what make them look ugly. Do the conversion first and you will see. There are photos floating around FAQ of the Euro versions that you may get some ideas from. Good luck. AG
  3. Maybe the 02 was from the Bay area. Everything is on the "left" there. LOL
  4. Have a pair of Cannon intake manifolds for DCOE side draft set up. Fit 40 and 45 mm. New condition. Bright brilliant aluminum. I have pics but could not get them posted for some reason. Asking 175.00 for pair plus shipping. They list new for 325.00
  5. Typically when the numbers "320" appear on tail w/o "i" it is a 320/6. Vin of course will tell and all the instrumentation and script will read in German. I had one and it was fast. Gray market car for sure. Front bumper is wrong for sure. AG
  6. Ouch! I don't know if old farts are knocking it out of jealousy, but you gotta admit all this work and little details make a big difference. I mean 38K for this car? Another 10k and one could have a really nice Turbo. I'm sorry guys but that interior reminds me of an early Scirocco/Rabbit. 02's look much better with solid color interiors not fabric and vinyl or leather what ever it is IMO. I'll admit a lot of the car looks nicely done but some things were just not tastefully done and others done on the cheep. If your going to have a reserve of 38K do it right. Look at the front fenders above grill for instance. All REAL 02 owners know very well that those seam joints should have been lead or brass filled. 38K uh uh.
  7. As I recall, one can use the tii trailing arms. I remember a gentleman I met at Brisbane show in Nor Cal did this but can't find his number to recollect what he did. I do know he did not use 323 trailing arms. He used all the parts I mentioned except I forget what disc's he used whether they were 325 or VW disc's. Any other thoughts on this issue? Thanks. AG
  8. Funny the Trans-Am pic from previous poster. My buddy and I had a discussion on this car this morning and he also stated it looked like a "Smokey and the Bandit" T/A. He wasn't the only one. S14/ M20 or not it's a toy not an investment. And yah it looks like a 4x4 too!
  9. Can anyone refresh me? I want to do the upgrade but not the VW parts. As I recall it was 325 calipers, 325 hubs, Disc? 323 emergency brake cables and fabricate a mounting bracket. what else and what recommendations and or suggestions. Thanks for any of your expertise. AG
  10. Ditto!! All that work and the most hideous interior I have ever seen. Hate the stripe also and the wheels albeit are cool, would have preferred black centers with polished lip. The engine has what looks like a 32/36 weber. Would have put an S14 in and you would have the perfect 02. Gut the interior for an all black one. AG
  11. I have a pair of door cards for 67-73 2002. The backing has your typical warping but not bad. Vinyl is really nice with no speaker cut outs. Mylar is gone and strips have been painted black, looks cool actually but could be re done with new mylar strips. One of the door cards does have a small nick at top corner but not missing the piece could be re-glued down. These are daily driver quality. 150.00 for pair plus shipping. Photos can be seen on craigs-list Portland Oregon under auto parts BMW 2002.
  12. I recall the same. As I understand it only 1200 of these ever made it over to the U.S.. Grey market or otherwise. Why no pics? Sketchy.
  13. Nice car from pics. But....wrong dash and gauge cluster, steering wheel, wrong door cards and seats no lower knee molding (matter of preference) and wrong bumpers. Pluses Nose is intact, motor looks like it has been either cleaned maybe rebuilt? Looks straight and maybe worth the money. I may go look at it. Was it a Euro since it is being advertised as a 71? or was it a 72 registered as a 71? Who knows only vin # will tell. more pics would be nice. Worth the look see.
  14. I wouldn't go as far to say "he is smoking crack" just a guy that is misguided. Like the person that believes this car can be restored for 10K. Any of the true enthusiasts on this site know very well a well sorted restoration is going to run a minimum of 20k or higher depending on extent of restoration. To me this is a 3-500.00 car no matter what part of the country your in. If the nose wasn't damaged and the dash wasn't cracked I would say yah maybe 1800.00. The "CRACK" reference belongs to the guy in Twin Falls. He is truely HIGH! Thanks to the guy that posted that. I just got my best laugh of the day. AG
  15. Best to buy those from the dealer. No shipping cost and they almost always get them undamaged. Almost impossible to ship through a private party for obvious reasons. Lets face it, who would have a new pair of those around to sell that are brand new, when you can buy them from dealer for a bout 65.00 each? Take my advice. Buy those from your local BMW dealer. You won't be sorry. AG
  16. Found a pair of Cannon intake manifolds in my many boxes of parts. In near new condition. Bright aluminum. Used only for a for a couple of hundred miles. Then went to a DGAV. 100.00 plus shipping for pair
  17. just pulled one out of a 74 yesterday. needs a respray. color is siennabraun. no rust excellent shape. make me an offer plus shipping from 97068.
  18. Brand new pair KONI HD "REDS" rear adjustable shocks. New never used still in the box. These are for street use and are now NLA from KONI. KONI only sells the sport shocks now which are really only for track use. These were going to go on my 02 which had sports but were just unbearable to use for daily driving. Since sold the car and I'm offering them up now for 150.00 plus shipping from 97068. Paid over 200.00 plus shipping. Part # 80 1868
  19. If RoyW passes I would be interested.
  20. I have two Top flat section dash's from the three piece dash. One has two cracks at either end of dash at the end of defrost vents. Repairable by a professional or core for recover. The other has a crack on left side at end of defrost vent and small damage in middle of dash. It also has Tii clock cut out plus three cut outs for VDO gages along side. This one could also be professionally repaired or recovered. Pix can be seen on Portland craigslist. Make offer plus shipping. Could not download pix for some reason sorry. I also have a PERFECT show condition instrument cluster pod for same dash. Accepting offers on that as well. AG
  21. Yes. These are the Euro "arrow shape". I have these on my 02. I purchased them new 15 years ago from Jaymic in England. I was told they are still available. You will only need a pair L&R since they are not made for the rear. The Euro's will fit U.S. front bumpers. You will need joiner collars L&R for rear. The collars will not fit U.S. spec rear bumpers. Unfortunately the rear Euro bumpers were designed slightly different. The "stubby" horn ends are narrower where they join the center bumper. I was able to find proper Euro ends but U.S. ones will work too with a bit of grinding and then you will need to seal or chrome them. If you don't as you know they will rust. Sorry I don't have a pair. I only have the U.S. bumper-ettes. I know the rear joiner collars are available also. I hope this info was helpful.
  22. are you talking about the early Euro bumper-ettes or the U.S. ones shown in your photo? The early ones are small arrow shape.
