  2. My car was called many things (because it was a badly beaten and ugly car). Eventually everyone settled on ED. or Evil Death.
  3. OK. That is sexy! What happened to Volvo in the 70's-90's to design such boring looking cars?
  4. Years ago I crashed my 02 at 40 straight into a mountain. It came out of nowhere! Total assessed damage to the car: 1 dented hub-cap. Total assessed damage the the mountain: An 02 size hole in it for 6 months. I win...
  5. Just thought you should know, your car just became part of my screen-saver...
  6. My 73 02 was beaten to snot. To make matters worse, my mom gave it to me when I was 15 and had the Malaga paint sanded to prep it for a paint job; but only in certain spots; and then never painted the car. Depending on where on the car you looked it was either Malaga, Pink, or Primer. My friends named the car E.D. Evil Death...
  7. Actually, does anyone in NorCal know this car? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/2540560580.html
  8. So years ago I gave away my 73 02 hopefully to a good home. Now I see one for sale for a decent price in Rohnert Pk, CA. I'm interested even though its not been registered for a few years, needs an alternator (probably), and has a badly dented drivers side door. The car looks like it has potential. Does anyone know of a good mechanic in the Rohnert Pk or Santa Rosa area where I can get a diagnostic done from someone who can be trusted? I'm not in a position where I can waste money on a lemon. Thanks.
  9. I sail for a living but I'm in San Francisco.
  10. I've heard of that Buick engine in 2002's before. Its been suggested to me in the past. If the the front end isn't too heavy (which it might not be), then this car could be pretty good. I'd just want wider rear wheels to help reduce tire spin - and maybe a spoiler to keep the rear end down at speed.
  11. I suggest sub-machine guns, a booster rocket, and oil slick.
  12. In my book, if you do that to an 02, you deserve ass cancer.
  13. I'm looking at possibly getting a late 80's 635csi. Trying to find out what milage it gets without much luck. Is it a guzzler or is it average? Anyone have experience with these things. Any headaches I should know about? Thanks Devian
  14. Don't think the Integra Engine would work. Its made for a front wheel drive car and adapting the engine for a transmission in a rear wheel drive just sounds like a nightmare.
  15. God I wish I still had my 02. I'll have to get another one when I graduate and get a job.
  16. From what I understand, Datsun copied the 2002 to such an extent that some of the parts are interchangeable. They're ok cars, very light, but rust out easily.
  17. If I wasn't already sold on BMW, I would be now! Now I have to go steal one!!
  18. That is pretty disappointing considering that the 2002 is one of the most significant cars BMW has ever made. I'd still like to see it though. Whats it called?
  19. A really good shop is So. San Francisco I can recommend (especially when dealing with and insurance company) is Grace Body Shop. I think its on San Mateo Rd. They're really good. They have handled things for me in the past and they know what they're doing.
  20. I reported his items on ebay. Not sure it will do any good, but what the hell.
  21. Alpina has been doing pretty much every series of BMW. Even two versions of the E46 3 Series. They have specs on their cars online. And yes, the B7 is very nice.
