  1. Did you mean to say 30" line for the front? Do the 3/16" lines from Napa come with 10mm fittings? Were they bubble or inverted flare? Sorry for all the questions, just that there are no Napa stores near me so I must order online.
  2. Do the accelerator pedal as well, that thing is beautiful. I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Thanks for explaining how you plumbed the valve.
  3. You should think about making the meet at MSR to watch the Ofest club race... its freeeeee.
  4. When running the two new lines, MC to valve and valve to T in the rear, did you use BMW lines or from somewhere else?
  5. What fittings did you use? Looks like 2 or 3 on each side.
  6. Pete, do you have TJW's email address or a link to his website?
  7. Are your pedals and seat brackets/mounts designed by you and sent to your machine shop? They don't look off-the-shelf.
  8. Excellent timing Lee, I need to do this soon as well. Powelli, did you just cut the line, and invert flare each end with 3/16" fittings? As opposed to trying to bubble flare it with metric fittings, which Ive read is much harder. If so where did you get your fittings from?
  9. Would you be interested in making more than one set of these? Or possibly selling the parent mold to someone that would/could? Would help in recouping some costs as well.
  10. For those of you using the 265 tranny, by what length does the M3 shifter linkage need to be shortened in order to line up with the hole in the '02 tunnel? Any pictures?
  11. That's the exact picture I was looking for. Thanks. Yes, thats the one I'm going to get.
  12. Anyone have a picture of how the stock S14 lower oil pan needs to be modified in order to clear the frame rail? I know one was posted on here not long ago but I cant seem to find it. There is now a wonderful horizontal baffle available that bolts in and completely encircles the pickup. I think I will be comfortable with this baffle, 1L overfill and a oil pressure gauge.
  13. Lee what will you do for oil pan/baffling/anti-oil starvation?
  14. Do you have to request the "drop bar" or is part of the standard sway bar setup they sell? Just bought my bars a few weeks ago, wondering which bar I got. Lee, do you plan on utilizing a coolant expansion tank?
  15. Very helpful as always Ian. So did you just use Aardvark's solution for the throttle cable? What did you do in regards to the VAC pan hitting your swaybar? So you are going to use the passenger side M3 motor mount arm? Where does the bottom end up attaching to?
  16. Finally finishing up the full rebuild on my S14. Attempting to prep the engine bay for the swap. I have a couple of concerns/questions... Just for some background. this will be a track car that will be running in +100F Texas heat. 1) Coolant expansion tank: E30M3 has one, '02 does not. Is it necessary in my situation? I really dont understand why the S14 got one and the M10 did not. If so, have people just used the E30 setup? 2) Fan cooling: Ideally I would like to use an electric fan. But from searching on here for M10 setups it seems the only possible setup is a pusher fan in front of the radiator. Problem is I would like to use the stock e30m3 oil cooler setup. The only place I see to mount it would be in front of the radiator. I guess I could use the mechanical S14 fan... but I'd really rather not. So I guess my question is, with the S14 in, will there be any room to mount a puller between the radiator and the motor or are you left with the same space restraint as with the M10(no space at all)? Is it at all possible to mount the stock oil cooler and a 13" pusher in front of the radiator together? 3) Wiring: I have the Aardvark manual. Seems almost too simple. Any advice/warnings from those that have gone through the process. I assume the three vacuum resistors mounted on the firewall can be removed('76). Anything else I can get rid of? 4) Throttle cable: Any other solutions out there other than the Honda adaptation Aardvark suggests? 5) Oil pan: I'd like to run VAC's large pan. Anyone (other than Ian) running their hybrid pan? Hesitant due to fitment issues. 6) Oil filter: Blunt, in your thread you said that only a short filter will work in the stock location. Which short filter? Thanks guys.
  17. Noooo. My car's not ready. Would it be blasphemous if I showed up in my e30?
  18. Very nice writeup. I'll be doing this in a few weeks. I don't have a lift but I'm seriously considering dropping the subframe anyways.
  19. Why do you need race seats for a daily driver?
  20. Holy crap!! You wouldve had to drill a grand total of four holes. And by the way, Direct quote from IE's site. "These are wider than the standard units similar to the turbo radiator so you must drill a couple holes for the mounting bolts."
  21. It's in Fort Worth not Dallas(not the same city). There will be a Club Race, a DE, an auto-x, a street survival school and a concours, plus some other stuff. The DFW area has a large contingency of E30M3s and non-M E30s. There are quite a few 2002's as well. So it definitely wont be 'all new stuff'. The Club Race, imo is definitely worth coming for. There will be several big players from the West and East Coasts coming out to race. Evosport, a bigtime California race shop is going to be bringing several cars out, including Holder's 600hp E46 turbo, a 3.4 S54 M3, and a 600hp S62 E90 (if its ready) just to name a few. Watt's is bringing his amazing CM E36 as well. There will be a plethora of nationally competitive IP and JP cars as well. Racers checking in: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=786212 The autox will also be awesome. Most people are used to small tight courses. Not out here. We usually run our autoxs at Mineral Wells, an abandoned helicopter field. Course layouts are usually around 2 minutes with speeds near 100mph most of the times. A bit different from what most of you are used to. I think it's well worth your time, especially if youre in Houston, its only a 4hr drive.
  22. Henry, What wheel studs are those? IE's ARP press-ins?
  23. What pedals are those and where did you get them?
